Wanted to know is there some kind of dual specialization at SIBM also like other colleges, as i came to know frm SIBM site they offer finance, marketing , marketing communications, operations and HR. Is that available in dual also.
I am comp engg. frm IT background with 3 yrs exp in IT industry , not interested in HR or marketing is finance good for me or operations or both if sibm offers dual. whats the scope of these specialization package wise and wrk wise , heard that fanance has best package and also gud wrk oportunities but at the same time it is toughest field :( is that suited for me who doesnot have commerce back ground

Hi...
Just wanted to know y SIBM has not come up with the official placement report for the year 2009 till now. I read an article in DNA which stated that the placement process took two and a half months to close and that article was dated 26th march. One month has passed since then and still I can't find placement report for the year 2009. If seniors could provide some information regarding this....would be great...

1.This year, the following specializations were offered : Finance, Operations, Marketing, HR. Nobody had opted for MarCom.There has to be a minm no of people opting for it, only then the specialization is offered.
2. There is no concept of dual specializations, though u can take electives from other specializations.
3. Package shouldn't be a deciding factor for your specialization, your interest in the field should be.
4. Finance is tough, yes. Choose a specialization only if you like it and are willing to live with it throughout your life. IT background is no deterrent for studying/understanding finance. Engineers can make good finance managers

Its fully residential program so styaing in hostel is compulsory as MBA is not only about class room study its more about peer learning....
