let me take your question one by one:

Dont worry about acads though your acads is not exceptional but its also not too bad so stop thinking in that front.

Give the SNAP do well in the written and definitely you should apply for SIBM.

if you will able to convince the interview panel that you work ex is relevant then it will be considered as good as in any MNCs

There no difference between people coming from various quota at the end of the day everybody is student of SIBM and eligible for placements.

On ur second question....do u want to choose a specialization just bcos the recruiters offer max package to that specialization in a particular college??????? i will give u a frank reply - Finance was very hot for the last 4-5 years with graduates frm any college making some quick bucks easily......but what is the situation now??..seeing the current financial market situation one can easily predict that the Fin placements will be massively affected across all bschools.....so the take is choose a spec in which u have interest and in my opinion there shud be no other factor affecting this decision....
Well coming to management quota doubt - my only cross ques is who are those guys?....are they SIBM alumnus??? or do they know someone within the admin who has given this reason....see all this is bu****......once u are in the college except the fess there is no difference b/w any student irrespective of the quota they belong.....so dont believe in rumors...

Specializations:
Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Marketing Communications.
Duration: Two years full time.
Eligibility:
A graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC / ST) marks at graduation level. Candidates passing degree examination by part time/ correspondence course or in one sitting are not eligible. Students appearing for their final year can apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining the minimum required marks. A candidate is eligible to apply to one category only.
Intake: 180
Reservation within intake:
• 15% and 7.5% of seats reserved for SC/ST candidates respectively
• 3% seats reserved for “physically handicapped candidates (blind, hearing impaired (Deaf/dumb) mentally retarded or those with orthopaedic disorders). The minimum degree of disability should be 40% in order to be eligible under this category.
• 15% seats reserved for Management seats - applicant need to comply with all the eligibility norms and apply separately only after the entire process is complete. Appearing for SNAP test and filling of SIBM form is mandatory.
• Kashmiri Migrants: 2 seats over and above the total intake – children of migrants from J&K valley.
• 15% seats for International students.
Students can apply to one category only.
Fees :
Total fees – Rs. 3.5 lacs p.a. (total fees not including transportation)
Management Quota twice the total fees - per annum
Pre induction course fees as Rs. 25000/- (non-refundable)
Total hostel fees including deposit Rs. 1,00,000/- p.a

Selection Procedure : The selection of the students shall be on the basis of SNAP Test + GD +Interview

SIBM gives MBA degree and various specialization offered are: Finance,HR,Marketing,Operations and Marketing Communications.

Hi guys i have a query ! I had completed my graduation in 4 years instead of the regular stipulated time of 3 years due to some personal reasons.I did not pursue the 4th year in the regular mode and just gave the degree exam and passed out with 1st division. As in the eligibilty clause of sibm it clearly states that candidated appearing for degree exams externally are not eligible to apply to the institute.I have not been able to confirm this from the college authorities. I request someone to confirm this from college authorities if iam not eligible to apply to sibm.
