oops sorry amartya... u r right... general candidates had to fill "others" as their category... the "open" thing that i talked about was in some other application... sorry again...

I have applied to NMAT, paid fees through credit card,

is there anything extra i have to do now, filled the form, paid fees through credit card

also how is the level of quant in NMAT test and usually how many candidates are called for interviews - top 1000 i think

please help to clear my doubts

If you have paid through credit card, that's the end of the job. There is no need to send the print out of the application form.

Last year a friend of mine has got a call from NMIMS and he ranked 1500+.

Hi Sandy,

The top 2000 ranks are called for GD/PI. However, try to be in the first 1000 bracket as written scores are given very high weightage in admission process.

NMAT Quant is pretty simple...so simple that u'll wonder what actually these guys wanna test.last year they asked questions which were based on BODMAS..simple multiplication division types...& there were about 5-6 such questions.Bottomline is if u are preparing for CAT then u need not worry bout NMAT Quant.The only thing that matters is SPEED.
Answer to your second question.NMIMS gives calls to nearly 2000 aspirants but don't bother to apply if your rank is below 1000.Those who have ranks between 800 to 1000 but have gud wrk ex,excellent academics & are sure of making a mark in GD/PI ,can also apply.This is because NMIMS gives very high importance to Written Test score.

Well, could someone please tell what the "PHOTO IDENTITY" refers to, in the "IDENTITY PROOF" drop-down menu? Would the college identity card do? Unfortunately, I do not have any of the others. My voter-id card will be done in December; but one just can't be sure of the government officials. In that case, I wanted to be on the safer side. Hence, the question. Seniors, please help.
Ps- Sorry if the question has already been asked. Scanned the last 4-5 pages; didn't get anything related to it, and didn't have the patience to view all. Sigh!
