ME....[]..well..generally iam good at speed based tests like nmat and snap..and since there is no gk,i find myself very comfortable..

preps..i take a sectioal test of 40-5- questions (qa/la/di) give myself 30 minutes and try to solve the max num of questions.only thing to take care on thesetests is that u should keep moving without getting stuck in any question.

100+-may be around 300 people for all whom it must have been very easy to convert.

last year..after gd/pi the revised rank list was put and ppl were free to give preference for management quota(9 lac) (general quota was around 4-5 lac)in merit..so even if u had cleard the min cut offs of 85 and appeared in rank list,a good gd/pi and work ex can bring you to a 700 easily to fetch u a mgmt quota..

@Saurav and Satyamvada: NMIMS have long done away with the gujju quota thing. There are no reservation whatsoever (except for the management quota seats) in MBA-Core in NMIMS. So please don't pin your hopes on any reservation categories.

@Ashwin:: Whatever you have said is mostly correct. But inly one correction, it was very much difficult for a guy with a score of 85 to get a final rank of ~700 (Moreover, the MQ seats also ran till 630 odd last time).
So an honest suggestion puys: Go for the max in the written for this is your best chance to make it. The GDPIs are very general; so there is not much room for differentiation.
Go for the kill.

I just have a query related to the topics on which questions are asked on Quants. Does it covers SI/PI ,mixture and alligation etc too. Which few topics do generally appear on the paper almost every year?

No such specification. Last year most of the question were calculations based. Speed maths . This year cant say.
