I have a couple of queries regarding NMAT.

1. Suppose I score really well in the written exam but do badly in GD/PI and yet my overall ranking is good , will I be able to get a seat in NMIMS ?

2. Also my overall work experience (Finance Profile ) as of end of december 2008 is going to be around 6.5 Months.. :unhappy: and I hve resigned to prepare properly for CET...will the experience have any value for admission in NMAT ?

Also it wud be great if someone cud direct me to a good online resorce for NMAT questions etc...

i had filled the online application form and paid the fee at IMS centre.
after that i haven't received any mail from the institute regarding the confirmation of the payment.

1. well NMAT keeps changing criteria for selection fro example in 2005 if u have done wellin written but if u fared very bad in GD/PI the u r out..nd willnot get final seat
In 2006 they had written test+ computer based xam(addtional xam for students who cleared teh GD/PI)+ GD/PI..and person with high consolidated score got the seat..That means GD/PI played a big role
In 2007 Written score was giben a huge weigtage..so even if u dont fare well in GD/PI u cud have easily made it to NM....

So u never know they will come up with soe thing different..nd as we have got a new dean (hez from IIMA)...i think GD/PI becmoes very imp..u cant neglect it

2. well xperience will have very lil value...6.5 months is treated more or less s frehser

CET is again a speed based test similar to NMAT however CET consists of Visual Reasoning section as well.

Difficulty level of both the exams are at par with each other. If you are a OMS you ought to have 99.5%+ in CET to get a seat in JB.

want to know few things about NMAT!

1. How much do we need to attempt to secure a call from NMIMS.
2. Can somebody break u the paper of last year english section as in how many questions were there in Rc and how many in EU.
3. and same with DI and Lr portion.(and DI is Logic based or calculation based.)
4. And is there any fav topic of the paper setters in quant.

and also the work-ex for the listed co's is counted or for others as well?

No GK and Visual Reasoning. You are awarded certain points on your experience which is on the discretion of the interview panel hence cannot comment on your work-experience related query.

Practice some calculation intensive questions like 123213129+12312313=?
Typical PO exam questions which were a complete shocker for me.
