I can see you are from chennai. Don't have much idea about which coaching classes are good there..May be someone from channai can answer that better..
Regarding books..As i said..R.S.Agarwal, any coaching institutes material, Arun Sharma is also good..The Quants in NMAT isn't all that difficult but you need to be quick so practice a lot...

@Viji: As per as the quant section goes in NMAT... Level I problems in Arun Sharma is sufficient... U can also try the Career launcher MCQ series if you want... The questions in NMAT are of the same level a SNAP and FMS in quants...
So don't lose sleep and practice.. U need to have speed to crack NMAT.

I second abhra..tat goin by all the previous yr pattern...Quant for for NMAT is damn esay...nd ya u need speed ne one wid wid gud speed shud easily crack all the Questions wether Quant, Eng or DI...infact out of 150 Questions i attempetd 125-128... so its easy pretty easy..just keep practising.....

Well also i have seen tat ist has been said tat NMAT is pretty easy...it is ...but one caution here...everything is changing at NMIMS....wid the advent of new dean...i dont see this as same 'cool' image NMIMS....we have to study hard here now...very difficult to get free time...nd i see pressure increasing wid very trimester...

Wen so much is chaning y not the paper...der is everu chance tat level of difficulty mite rise for NMAT dis yr,...so guys keep urself prepared...dont think tat paper is going to b easy....

Hi Gaurav,

There are separate exams for Focus Programs and Core Program. The notification for Focus Program exam is not yet out.The last year cutoff for Core program was 85 in the written exam for a candidate to qualify for GD/PI. Yes, there are sectional cutoffs in the exam. Its mentioned in the brochure please read the brochure carefully.

Hi. as informed by others I came to know that the overall cutoff for NMIMS was 85 marks with different sectional cutoffs. But this was quite high as compared to last to last year. Last to last year it was around 70 if I am not wrong.

@Gaurav:As of now, there is no news/ plans for the MBA program to be started in the new campus.. atleast no news in the campus as such.. I dont see any thing on the website too where it says that NMIMS is starting MBA Core program from a new campus.. If you are talking about Shirpur campus, its still in the processing stage and chances are very less that it will be operational from this year right away...
We do have separate hostel facilities for boys and girls for the Mumbai campus

Just one simple question, how many sits are there in NMIMS altogether? there is an option where it has been asked whether one knows Gujarati or not?? Is it a compulsory thing?and do we get preference if we know Gujarati??

You have to take the DD infavour of “SVKM’S NMIMS” payable at Mumbai.
