We students here are certainly not an authority to rate colleges.
However SIBM Bangalore is just a replica of SIBM Pune. SIBM has gone residential this year and hav started 2 new campuses, one which is in Lavale outside of Pune and in Bangalore. Last year we had common admissions for both SIBM's and the cutoff was the same i.e 85/180 with sectional cutoffs. This year onwards SIBM Bangalore would have a separate admission process with SNAP of course being the shortlisting criteria.
Details of the process would be communicated through our prospectus and our website which wud be up in a few days from now.

Also SCMHRD gives profile based calls and dont have any specific cutoffs, SIIB i believe had a cutoff of 78 with no sectional cutoffs.

We have fair mix of Work Exp. and freshers. the ratio approx. being 55:45 with students who have worked with some of the top companies in the world and from some of the best colleges and universities in the country.

And regarding Eco hons. grads, i know of atleast 5 eco. hons in our batch and quite a few of them from DU as well.

Hi Richa,

Interview tips will be given in abundance but only at the appropriate time.
There is no need to prepare and devote time currently on cracking interviews.

Prepare yourself thoroughly for the exam and just ask yourself, meanwhile, why do you want to pursue MBA.

Reasons (for taking break from job/ not working anywhere) to be given are all personal and the person himself is in a better state to state it.

However, for an example, even to others, tell us why did u took break ??
or didn't took up any job ??
Do you need one full year for preparation ??
Also which things you were involved in apart from studies during the year ??

Good to see u relieved from some unnecessary stress

Be Cool lady, there is still ample time, u need not worry about admission procedures yet, stay focussed, get ur fundas right, prepare for the entrance test, read as much as u can, be up to date with the happenings around the globe.

Dont worry u ll b fjuss fine.

Anyways as stated earlier both SIBM campuses will have separate admission procedures from this year, details of which would be mentioned in the prospectus.

Poor me.. :sarcasm:i jus completed my engg in computers n due to dis downfall f IT sector n all din get my joining(can't prove it though)... so rather than waitng for d joing i tuk d decisions to drop ths yr for MBA preparations.. bt as now im cuming to knw ab all ths Tuff selection procedures ,m really scared.. actually only bcoz f my acads n no wrk experience... Hi All,

This is for all those persons who are taking a break from their job or not joining any job for celebrations.

My sincere advice is to build some passions/ develop some hobby which will set you apart from the crowd.

Not only the IIM's each n every other college wants to have a student/ class profile which is as unique as it can be. Some Extraordinary persons, something different, which not only tells them about your personality but also that you can prepare simultaneously for the studies.

Judge yourself : Two persons making it thru for Interviews, one with work-ex or in final year college and the other being an idle person, whom would the panel select.

Activity on this thread also seems to be at a low
Seniors, any updates regarding the admission process ?
Additionally, I also wanted to know ,
- What is the exact procedure followed with regards to management quota admissions .
- Is it a free for all , or do you need a certain SNAP score to be eligible ?
- What are the timelines for the same i.e. does the process start only after admissions for general category have ended or after immediate declaration of results ?

Just thought of putting up a few queries, so foster some action on the thread:happy:
