Hi Dinesh

The Management quota admissions are handled by the Symbiosis International University of which SIBM Bangalore is a part of. The Management quota admissions begin once the general admissions are completed i.e sometime in the month of Feb-Mar '09. You would need to apply separately to SIU for the same. Also appearing for SNAP and applying to SIBM Bangalore is a must to be eligible for admission through management quota.

The fees this year for management quota would be twice the normal tuition fees (Rs.3.5 Lakhs) along with hostel and mess fees(Rs.1 Lakh) which is same for all students. Also any changes in the fee structure would be communicated through necessary channels.

No this piece of information is really helpful, since SNAP is scheduled on 21st Dec I was wondering what happened to the International Students Admission Procedure.

I am an US Citizen(I have done by 10th and 12th from India ICSE Board).I keep waiting for such posts.

As mentioned in the previous posts, Students applying through the international students category need not appear for SNAP. They have to appear for an english language proficiency test conducted by Symbiosis International University. Also let me remind you that the International students admissions is conducted only by SIU and the individual colleges dont have a role to play.
Please check the symbiosis website Symbiosis Society
for any further updates. I would be updating all the notifications that the college receive from the university in regards to international admissions in this space.

The course here is coming along very well and college life is good.

Regarding the schedule, as in any other top b-school of the country there is an emphasis on academic rigour here which requires students to take up a wide range of assignments, live projects, student committee initiatives etc. along with regular classroom lectures. The 1st sem was a rigorous one with lectures till late as the curriculum was designed at giving students exposure to all the specializations on offer. The course is much more flexible now as students have to undergo splization specific lectures and there is more of an emphasis on projects, assignments , guest lectures, seminars etc.which doesnt make it any less rigorous if not more one has to admit.

So yes B-school life is a lil tuff, brings its own set of challenges but gives you a wonderful opprotunity to perform, showcase ur skills and learn from the tasks at hand.

The timings as I mentioned is pretty flexible with classes normally starting by 8:30 am and ending by 3 or 4:30.

SIBM Bangalore saw the inaugration of its Entrepreneurship Cell called E-cell on the 15th of November 2008.
the Function was presided over by some of the eminent Entrepreneurs in the country The event would be presided by eminent dignitaries like Mr Jagdish Kini ( Ex Ceo Airtel, currently founder of 5C ), Mr Rakesh Shukla ( Ceo TWB) , Mr Sameer ( NEN Chapter Head Bangalore)
Also present were founder members of some of the top startups in the country such as Kreeo, Lifeblob, Morpheusventure, Lifemojo, Clinaxon etc.
The first of its kind E-Cell has the Startup Buddy Program whichaims at empowering students with entrepreneurial aspirations with the necessary mentorship, direction, knowledge guidance and framework in order to put their B-Plans into reality by Industry experts.

Last yr admissions were jointly held for both SIBM campuses and the cutoff was 85/180 with sectional cut-offs. This year SIBM Bangalore would have a separate admission procedure. The link to apply is Smart Apply User Register
