10th n 12th -80%

Pursuing btech in NIT Jalandhar

with decent academics n no of projects...

Sir wht shld i do....

shld i apply to iit roorkee

n wht r other possibilities??

HI Seniors

Do you think there would be any significant difference in cut-offs for GEN and OBC candidates???

I have 2 years workex and a rank of 1705 in JMET in OBC cat.

Can I get a call from IIT-R?
And secondly can I get a call from any other IIT?

Guten Morgen

The increase in seats in OBC would flush out OBCs form GEN seats as there are seperate seats for them and so there wud be an indirect increase of 5-10 seats... My guess.....

With your rank its really difficult, but you never know about the students applying to IIT B Schools...... Also with OBC quotas coming into play we can expect no of seats to rise and the end result could be rise in number of people being called for GD/PI.. You can try filling the form and you might just be able to make it to IIT Roorkee for GD/PI process.....
last rank called for GD/PI was 1700 odd ranks....

hey don't post your email id and Phone number on PG threads please.
I dont think at your rank you will get call from any IITs. you can try NIT that is accepting JMET score this year......
