Yes Dear..

Once the JMET ranks are out the individual IIT's will come up with their notifications and you have to apply for them separatly..

It might seem a costly affair to you but once you get a rank you can know in which colleges you stand a chance and can apply accordingly.

If u look at the JMET site it says:
"JMET 2009 Application Form can be submitted using ONLINE (Internet based) mode only."

The focus of JMET has been on higher level Maths. But the last year's paper was was designed to surprise the aspirants. Maths was simpler, but the questions were in the form of caselets.

I have a query regarding the demand draft details

On the online procedure link -JMET :: Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur) - in the IMPORTANT box at the top it is mentioned that - "please prepare a draft of Rs.750 (Rs.350 only for SC/ST candidates) in favour of ‘Organising Chairman, JMET 2009’ payable at Kanpur "



And a few lines below, in a para with brown text it mentions - "Payment is possible through Only Demand Draft made in favour of 'ORGANISING CHAIRMAN JMET 2009 IIT KANPUR' "

Can any1 clarify this if the DD is to be in favour of

1 'Organising Chairman, JMET 2009' OR
2 'ORGANISING CHAIRMAN JMET 2009 IIT KANPUR'

although the brochure mentions the first 1 i.e. 'Organising Chairman, JMET 2009' which i believe is the correct one

Well I just went through the Brochure as well, and Organising Chairman, JMET 2009 looks right to me as well.

But in these cases, its better to get it clarified directly from IIT K office .
