Hi junoonmba,
i do totally agree with you but one more thing that i read is that this time JMET will have multiple choice (i.e more tahn one correct like in IIFT )questions as well...............
I will get the link for that and will share with all puys .........

Re: JMET 2009 - An analysis -
17-11-2008, 01:54 PM
The information and analysis that I have previously mentioned is all based on facts from the JMET site! It is the official word... Plz don't contest it with sources from IMS/TIME or any other source for that matter. To add to it, the analysis is my own opinion.
The previous year JMET was a 2 hr paper with 150 questions over 4 sections. But, we can't depend on those papers now.
We were allowed to take the papers home. Try to get it from a friend who gave it last year.
@hits_kj, The format of the paper has changed drastically. So, i can't comment much on the cut-off and level of prep for any section required for JMET 2009. If someone is trying to pre-empt the paper... it might be a huge waste of time. Instead, try to capitalize on strengths.
PS. Please do not neglect higher maths this time as IITK is conducting JMET. My personal exp with IITK suggested a lot of emphasis on your engg skills which includes higher maths. :( (No offense to IITK, they have their own strengths)
All the best!!!

I discussed with some of my friends and visited the site of JMET 2009 and after some analysis, we too believe that JMET this time would be full of surprises and that it may be of 3 hrs as mentioned on the site because JMET 2008/2007 were of 2 hrs and that was clearly written on the site....
JMET: Paper Structure
So no brainer that level of questions will be high and this year the paper will be relatively tough

Guys, help me out with this please.
JMET says you gotta have 60% in Graduation or 6 CGPA in colleges who follow the CGPA system.
I'm in my final year & I have 5.3 CGPA but according to my college's conversion formula, 5.3 CGPA is equivalent to 63%. Do I have a case?
Please help!

Well since its quite clearly mentioned that a CGPA of 6 is required maybe the conversion from CGPA to % wouldnt be taken into account, but what i'll do is go to the academic department tomorrow and get the conversion thingie clarified.

Hi..
There was a similar post in SJMSOM thread few days ago and I believe that if you are able to produce the certificate of conversion then it shouldn't be a problem..
Please go through my reply..especially the disclaimer part
