Relax...

If you click the print option it actually opens the print dialogue box..Same as going from File----> Print
I believe it's wont make any difference

Your status will be updated in a few days..

Actually i asked because the NMAT form said that please print from the print button and not the file menu ... And the difference was the when you click on the print button(given in the form) then the new dialog box kinda thing that opens up has a bar code sort of thing .... So i thought that may be even the jmet application might be there with the bar code ... It wasnt mentioned to use only the print button so i dint use it
I also asked because its been quite some time now ( I mean speed post doesnt take this time ) and people have got mails confirming the receipt..
So im still not sure :-? :frown:

You better check the status of the speed post at the following link

See in the previous pages it has been mentioned that it usually takes 10 days for the status to be updated..
And personally i don't see this as a reason to for your application to be rejected.

Hey thanks so much . i checked my status . its showing that they have received the application today only i.e. 15 oct 08.Wow never knew it takes so such much time (i had sent the form on 7 oct ) .. Hopefully i'll receive the mail now ... :-) Thank you so much

Hi..I had sent the JMET application form via speed post on 11th October.I was told that it will reach on monday. But till now nowhere has the status been updated. Even in the speedpost site, it is telling me that "No information about delivery." I tried to contact IIT Kanpur , but no one is picking up the phone. Can any one kindly help or suggest what should I do?

Hi..

Contrary to what others people might say i personally have lots of faith in Indian Postal System specially the speed post one..Most of the speed post delivery takes place withing 3 working days( worst case 4-5)..They generally don't misplace letters..but i am not sure how efficient their updation system is..if you have posted on 11th the IITK people will certainly get it before the last date..That is what i feel..I understand that since the last dates are approaching you must be pretty nervous..but nothing to worry about..

Keep trying the IITK office if you want

I got the status changed on JMET app status screen.

Your Application 928326 has been recived at GATE Office, IIT Kanpur.
I had posted it on 10th OCt, i also have received the mail from IIT K office reg this status.

Seems they are updating status of all applications sent to them 3 days back or 10 days back today itself..btw ..i got my status updated a few minutes back

hi all i send d form thru speed post on 6th and till 14th india post site did not showed d status and on 15th i called to kanpur post office and den i got to knw dat they hav till not delivered d form to IIT and wen i complained abt den dey delivered on 15th and updated d status on india post site.
