Hi..
This year IISc Bangalore has scrapped its MBA program..
Regarding JMET this year onward the paper pattern has been changed..
This year there will be 4 different sections (Verbal,LR,QA and DI)
a total of 120 question in 3 hrs..
Generally the QA section is considered tougher..A bit of "Higher Level of Maths" is involved..

Hi,
not sure if abt the book mentioned by you..
But for best results, try studying in a more general way rather than concentrating on jus one paper. JMET too is similar to all the other Bschool exam, leaving apart the math part, which can be coverd up easily in a week before the exam.
Jus keep ur cool and stay focused.

Hi Anjath..

Here is a gist of what the various eligibility criteria are for different IIT's

1)IITB and IITD says 60% aggregate with 5% relaxation for SC/ST's..no mention of OBC

2)IIT Kanpur..60% Aggr. and pass class for SC/ST..no mention for OBC

3)IIT Kgp and IIT Madras..First class(generally considered to be 60%)..no relaxation mentioned.

4)IIT Roorkee specifically says 60% for OBC..

Assuming that the realaxation is given only when mentioned u might not be eligible for different IITs..

However to be sure u can check up with the various IITs admission committee...

Regards

Hi guys,
I have a doubt regarding the JMET application process.
The iit-k site mentions that:- "In order to fill in the Online application, payment has to be made apriori" what does that mean?
I guess the payment has to be done through a DD of Rs.750 (or Rs.350) which will be enclosed along with the printed application form.
And one more doubt... Can i take the printout of the application form at a later date after filling in the online form? just the way it is for MAH-CET.
Thanx in advance...

It means that u need to make a demand draft before filling up the online form as you need to enter the Demand Draft details in the form.

Yes you may take the print out later on aswell by clicking on the link
" View Submitted Application ", present at the bottom of the page.

But the point is, if you can take the print out now, do it now!!!!!

Cut off percentile is decided upon:

- No of candidates appearing for exam.

- The kind of scores candidates obtain in the exam.

More then percentile , JMET focuses on rank.

So if get it within 300 u can apply to all the IITs and if within 1000 then 3-4 IITs.

Hi Madhu

IITs had introduced reservations for OBC for the admissions starting from 2008. To begin with they introduced 9% reservations in the previous year. This year it will be 18% reservation for OBCs. It will be scaled up to 27% for the batch begining 2010.

But at the same time they have increased the seats such that the number of general seats remain the same as that existed before reservations
Hope this helps
Also u may visit the following site for more information abt each IITs....
