the JMET site mentions that the DD is needed to be payable at any nationalized bank at Kanpur...
i have an ICICI bank account...now what bank i should tell them to make a DD for...SBI Kanpur or what...?
if SBI Kanpur, then which branch...?
i am a bit confused about this...

I think there i some confusion regarding the DD. Here is what I can understand:

The DD should be made from any of the nationalized bank and it should be in favor of:
'ORGANISING CHAIRMAN JMET 2009 IIT KANPUR'
payable at Kanpur.

ICICI isnt a nationalized bank

Payment is possible through Only Demand Draft made in favour of 'ORGANISING CHAIRMAN JMET 2009 IIT KANPUR' on any nationalized bank payable at 'Kanpur'. The draft number, bank drawn on, draft date and amount must be entered during Online submission of the Application Form. Write your name and application number on the back of the demand draft.

Yes, I did check the site and hence, wrote my above post.

DD should be from SBI and payable at kanpur.

Regarding the Demand Draft, as its already been mentioned by "rmbt", it is to be made from any of the nationalised banks.

since ICICI is not a nationalised bank, so it wun;t work.

Draft from any nationalised bank like SBI, PNB etc will surve the purpose.

and i repeat it once again that Draft is to be in favour of
"Organising Chairman, JMET 2009", Payable at Kanpur.

I guess we can be a lil optimistic... might be this will allow us ppl to give more time to all the questions... and atleast perhaps maximise attempts... And even if its more difficult.... what the heck... ! its going to be the same for everybody :new_ukliam2: ... lower scores and lower cutoffs... WIN WIN all the way buddy


PS - I am very poor in Quant btw... but will definitely give JMET a shot... why waste a chance to go into sum of the best colleges of INDIA... Btech na sahi to MBA hee sahi :laugh: !

It might seem a costly affair to you but once you get a rank you can know in which colleges you stand a chance and can apply accordingly.

Is it ORGANISING CHAIRMAN JMET 2009 IIT KANPUR or Organising Chairman, JMET 2009...????

Or are they both the same thing and it wont matter as long as it is payable at Kanpur??? Plese clarify...and such that everyone says the same thing..

As I have already mentioned in my earlier posts, the Draft is required to be made in favour of

"Organising Chairman, JMET 2009" payable at Kanpur

and i've checked this with JMET Office, IIT Kanpur, once again.

The information on the URL will be rectified soon.

hopefully this will clear all doubts.
