i'll be coming with my father.
do i need to intimidate seniors/administrators there to get accomodation or will it be done on the spot??

Accomodation will be provided to you on the spot, as informed earlier.

Dear friends,

1) After reaching IIT Kanpur, you will be provided with a map of the campus and preliminary instructions at the main gate security desk.
2) From there, every candidate has to report to the Hall of Residence # 7 control desk.
3) There would be someone deputed at the control desk 24 * 4, so there would be no inconvinience to any candidate arriving even at odd hours.
