Hi Aparna,

Previous year, the last rank to be called for GD/PI was somewhere near 1600 and the last rank of conversion was also the same.....

hi im abhinav sharma.
i hav sent my jmet form and it has been received.bt d printout of the form which i took does not have the bar code.instead it has a cross sign over there.
i want to know whether my form will be accepted or not.please reply what should i do??

Abhinav,
There is some problem with the barcode. As long as the application no is present in the print out, its perfectly fine and the form is accepted at IITK office.

The score required to make it would depend on the difficulty level of the paper and the no of people appearing, among other factors.

Last year people having a score of appx 51.5 , made it through.

But do not worry much about scores as of now and focus on the fundamentals and concepts

Hi Bhavin,
sory to say but now the last date for submsiion has long gone by for JMET. It is clearly mentioned that online mode is the only mode of submission.

hi IITians...
well im one of those who is dreaming to be in IIT..
jus wanted to knw if profile plays an important role for getting calls or it is only d score...
to be more specific..
do u get calls on the basis of profile submittted??
no doubt the profile is important during the interview..
but for getting calls i guess the score should be enough..
or is it like symbiosis wer even if u get a good score still depends on the profile(how good it is or rather how much u have paid d managemnt.. so called setting in indianism)
please clarify this doubt if possible

Profile based calls are supposed to be given by VGSOM, IIT Kgp.
Apart from it, it is your score which will fetch you a call from IIT's.
However,even VGSOM keeps the score in mind while giving out the calls.


PS: THERE IS NO MANAGEMENT QUOTA in IIT's.
