Hi Mayur,Karan,Swarnali,Avik and others

I am in desperate straits.I had been disgusted with and quit my IT job and worked part time in a university. I had planned to do an MBA and wrote every exam possible.But I am getting really paranoid now.IIFT-just missed a call.
JMET-NOT QUALIFIED.I have been scouting along for any chance anywhere and I noticed the following in the IIT M form:

1.Both JMET and CAT scores are asked for.

2.Point 3. of the instructions says "Please attach copies of detailed mark
sheets of all semesters/years of the qualifying degree and National Level
Entrance Test /GMAT Score along with the application.

I have a GMAT score of 760 and CAT percentile of 92.18.

Am I eligible to apply?.I have not qualified in the JMET.

Please guide me.I would be very grateful.My world is falling apart around me.

cat percentile of 95.71

I was hopeful of getting a call going by previous year stat's until now..
i went thruogh the application form where it asks for individual mark sheets..

I have had arnd 18 arrears in my bachelor's degree..moszt of them were subject repeats..which stands out completely else my profile goes like this

10th 74%
12 91%
BE 68%
MS(Australia) 75% did full justice to academics..no arrears
2 years of exp in Australia
8 months os entrepreneurship in India

should I go ahead in applying for IIT-M..for that matter should I apply to any of IIT's...please help

hi..question regarding CAT scores again
i have got 93.39 percentile in cat, and rank 2933 (bad) in jmet
now, can i apply to IIT M?
i know jmet score wont matter so low..but willl this cat percentile count enough?

Sure, you can apply with your CAT score. Please go ahead.

Chakra,

Arrears will certainly be a liability for you but you can make up for it with a brilliant GT/PI. I would personally suggest you to apply.

Hi Anu,
Since CAT percentile as a criteria has been introduced this year itself,we really won't be able to say what percentile would be sufficient to get a call.As I had mentioned earlier also that a lot of factors contribute towards the GT/PI call,I would suggest that you apply.ATB!

Anupriya,

Very difficult to give any conclusive comments on this. Our guess on percentiles is as good as yours and we dont even have any historic data on it. But your percentile is definately decent. I personally would suggest you to go ahead.

Have 96% over all with all sectionals of 88% and above..

Any idea whether IIT-M may look at sectionals too.. ??
