What was the cutoff last time for admission?
I've 71% in 10th, 54% in 12th and will pass out BSc (Comp. Sc as Hons) with 60%.
I've completed Master's Diploma in Multimedia. But no job experience.
What are my chances of getting into any symbiosis institute specially SIHS?

there was no official cut-off last year. unofficial estimation... it was arround 40. but cut-off varries every year depending on the snap scores of the applicants of that year.

though edu background and exp matters during selection process, the main factors are SNAP score and your performance during GD-PI. work hard for that.

with your edu background, i would request you to think a lot before you consider SIHS as one of your choice. frankly, it doesnt match.though the selection process of SIHS is not biased towards any special edu-background, you might have to face a lot of difficult questions during PI for your choice of SIHS. and during placemnt, it will become a lot, a lot more difficult. so please think once again.

Thanks.... what do u mean by "with your edu background..."? that means me having low scores or being in Computer Science graduate?

i was trying to point out your computer science background. its a MBA focussed completely on healthcare sector. u will be , frankly, slightly misfit for it...and during placement it might become a huge disadvantage considering the nature of possible placement of MBA-HHC. so plz think about it again.

by the way, your score is much better than what i have. dont worry about what score you have in 10+2/graduation. if you make a solid score in SNAP and do well in GD-PI nothing else matters.

THank u so so much. I'm very much obliged to u. U have cleared my major doubt..
And just asking... Will my degree in multimedia be count to anything? And in curricular activities, I've participated thrice in my SCHOOL drama, and I'm not SO sure if i have got certificates for them. And i've taken part in a singing competition a yr ago and grabbed the 2nd prize. Will these be counted?

during a selection process whatever you have is your +point and whatever you dont, is -point.

but 'what counts' depends on the selectors and your competitors, also to some extent, what course you are applying for. what definitely count are the entrance exam score and your performance in GD-PI. so for the time being, please forget those 'extra' things you have and concentrate on the 1st major part...entrance exam. then the 2nd...GD-PI. right now these 2 parts should be your focus. this is not a selection process for indian idol. so competition isnt based on those 'extra' things...they are really extra.

as far as advantage of your degree in multimedia is concerned, again it depends on the institute and course you are applying for. for MBA-HHC it surely has no extra advantage that can overshadow the disadvantage you have due to your edu-background. so please dont bank on it.
for other courses, i have no idea what kind of effect it might have on your overall profile...

and dude, seriously [i was not saying this directly earlier]...please dont consider SIHS as your option. with your edu-background it will be a really bad decision and your whole career will be affected.

1. What kind of job profile should one expect upon completion of MBA in Healthcare?

2. What kind of companies come for placement and what kind of pay-package can one expect?

3. I have about 1.5 years exp in I.T and am working in Healthcare domain. Would my profile be suitable for the course?

4. What cut-off is expected for SIHS this year?

Hi...i am scoring 64.75 according to the TIME key, which i am guessing must be pretty accurate..i think its a par score..but wont get calls from SIBM and SCMHRD...
