Hi

people who are planning to come here and pay your fees, specially those going for education loan thingy...any kind of payment has to be made in the bank. so while planning your trip to SIHS/PUNE and back do keep in mind the bank-timing...10.30am-2.30pm on weekdays and 10.30am-12pm on saturday. sunday holiday. also the institute remains close on sunday and all other official holidays. so plan your journey accordingly, specially if you are coming from some other state...an extra day in hand is advisable.

it is not necessary to come all the way here and pay your fee [plz do confirm it with the office first], you can send your DD. but plz check for postal delay and all other related issues. if you are going for education loan, it will be wise to come here, register by paying the registration fee and collect the certificate all by yourself. that way you can request them to format the certificate according to your need. that will save you from a lot of troubles later.

How are we supposed to apply for the hostel. Should we send them an email or a letter along with d draft? Is thr any need to cum personally for the hostel application? Wat is generally preferred by the students? The hostel or private pg accomodation?

a written application is a better one...i think that's what mentioned in the webpage of merit list. most probably [99%]you dont have to come in person. but to be on the safer side, just give them a call and confirm if you really need to come or not.

preference differ from person to person, so i cant generalise anything. to me, hostel suits the best.
PG n hostel both have their own pros and cons. you have to decide all by yourself based on your lifestyle etc.hostel is more secure, less-traveling headache,on campus [so you wont have probelm during odd-hour classes, late classes, canceled claases, rescheduled classes etc], wifi enabled, mess is just a step away, on-campus gym-healthcare centre etc. it also has strict deadline 10.30pm, solid firewall blocking almost all the fun sites including orkut etc...but the ambience is great and you will really feel like you are insid a new family...Symbi Family.
in a PG you can expect more freedom in every aspects...above all, you will get orkut .

sorry...cant predict any chances. this time competition is very intense.it all depends on the available vacancies. if one of the kashmiri migrant category candidates from the first list opts out, then you will get a chance...

generally if your name is first in the waiting list then you can be almost a 100 % sure of getting the seat..but how many seats does your category have..?..the more the seats the better your chances..if its only 4 or 5 seats,then the chances of someone leaving are lesser than if there are 15 seats..but if you ask me i think you should get it,especially as your name is 1st on the list..

im not sure if you find any "List" anywhere. most probably waiting list candidates will be informed by e-mails if selected. selection will depnd on the available vacancies.
