Hi every one,
Hope u all doing well.

This is regarding the tremendous increase in Fees of Symbiosis Affliated colleges.
While I was browsing though SNAP affliated colleges...no doubt all colleges are well reputed with good placemments and also provide a good value but I was really suprised with the fees they put up this year for class 2009..I think so its really high for all colleges and might be unafforadble to finance for some people.
The fees last year was around 2,55,000 per year for SCMHRD which is now 4,05,000 per year for class 2009...I think so this is too much increase and so are the case of SIBM which was 2,25,000 per year for class 2008 ,this year it is around 3,80,000...(same with SIIB,SITM and all..)

I really believe this is too much increase also at this point of time where we have so much to talk about global recession ...

But still I want to ask ..are these finalized fees structure..
Though I agree that colleges shuould increase their fees ,with so much demand on resources but still....increasing more than 50 % in a duration of 1 year is too much...

Hey Symbiosis Students and other SNAP aspirants really need ur view regarding this.

i do admit that there has been a significant increase in the fees structure of Symbiosis affiliated institutes...
but personally i feel that the effort a college takes in adding value to u do cost a lot(faculty salary,infra,hiring outside consultants etc etc) the cost of B school education was bound to go up....
believe me or not - a good faculy charges nything btw 4000 to 8000 for one lecture...and Symbiosis being a pvt institute has no other source of funding compared to other Gvt funded colleges..so to make up for this increases cost the fees has been increased...
in case of SIBM i can assure u that the max of the fees charged is invested in providing u facilities unlike sum colleges where they charge u for things which is never provided and even if it is provided then that facility is quite unnecessary...

and if u give a relook at the fees structure of other pvt colleges acros india then perhaps u will not complain..almost every college has risen their fees significantly..:-x....

I agree to you regarding so much investment on students but one thing to ponder is increasing to more than 60 %...How can the students manage to finanance or even If its been financed ...look to the Return of investment quotient...paying a loan of around 8 lakhs ..will really take a toll on students..Since its a big amount so is the interest rate....
Though I agree quality of education matters but...fees factor cannot be ignored...they really are deciding factors...

Look paying a fees of 5,00,000 for a course is affordable for any MBA studnets...at present.....but that being raised to 8,00,000 is too much...within a span of one yeaR...
