@deepika

Could you please tell me the procedure SIIB adopt while coming to the net score for shortlisting. I have heard they have some weightage on various sections like acads , work ex, extra curricular..

Puys and seniors,

I am filling up the SIIB appln form. In the work experience details, nothing is mentioned about the date till which we have to consider the work exp. Am I making sense, e.g., Work exin in months until 31/12/2008 will make sense not just the work exp in months.
Please tell me which date I should consider for calculating the number of months of work exp..

Hi all,
My SNAP scores as per CF's analysis:-
QA/DI/DS - 15.50
General English - 14.00
Reasoning section - 30.00
General Awareness - 11.00
Total - 70.50
worked for 2.5 yrs in the IT industry..green belt six sigma certified..have a couple of extra curricular activities at college and school level to show..very average acads(57.2%)
The obvious question and a reply appreciated...any chances of SIIB calling? This is important as I need to decide in the next few hours about filling up this form.

Yaar I had asked this question a few days back but I was told that the work ex is counted uptil August. I guess Deepika had answered that. However, this is for Deepika. We haven't found anything mentioned anywhere on the SIIB site about as to till when is the work ex counted. Additionally a suggestion, your admission filling site needs to be enhanced more. All instructions in detail as to what to fill, how to fill, etc.should be given on your SIIB site. These finer details seem to be missing.

@ deepika

Am getting a SNAP score of around 64-66. I also have a good profile [89% in 10th, 93% in 12th, 81% in UG, and a GPA of 9 on 9 in my PG Diploma course in international business with several internships and international projects that add to my credibility. I dont have full-time work-ex as i am fresher. What are my chances???

Re: SIIB Admission 2009-11 Helpdesk - 22-12-2008, 07:19 PM

Lots of queries are coming regarding probable cutoffs. I would like to make it clear that we are not right people to predict cutoffs. Cutoffs are better predicted by coaching institutes.

Further regarding cutoffs for last year, college has declared last year' cutoffs on the college website.

For IB gen Category, the final score was 81.25. This is the final score, that is, it includes weight ages given to different criteria college has mentioned like work ex, professional qualification etc.

So you may find people with a snap score 74-75 who finally got through, but it does not mean cutoff is 74-75 because SIIB has its own criteria and calculates SIIB score. None of the students will ever come to know the exact weight ages.

And lastly please go through the college website as well as the previous posts in this thread, so that lot many queries are answered then and there.
