Just one question guys, I would like to know whether there are any placements in the Financial sector, I'm not interested in Mktg. or the other HRM course offered here. Secondly, if there are any, do these relate to marketing of financial services, like in banks, or hardcore fin. like corporate fin/treasury ops, etc.
I'll apply only if hardcore Fin. placements are available.

Well if u consider equity research in UBS (at 10+ CTC) as a good enough placement then . Two people in my super senior batch got final placements in UBS. Other details will let you know in a few days...
As for profiles students got Finance/Marketing/Business Development profiles in both domestic and foreign markets in the super senior batch.
We have final placements in placement week in January 2009 for the senior batch.

If I get it right then super senior would mean the batch of 2008 passout.
Well, currently circumstances have changed drastically due to the global downturn, & a steady stream of pink slips across the board.
I will be watching keenly the placements coming January, that's the real test..
Giving the test is Ok as it will cost just 500 bucks, so no issue there.
Keep me informed about placement profiles in this sector next year.

well there are no sectional cutoffs apart from a positive score in each of the sections. And going by the attempts of the current batch 160 plus attempts with decent accuracy will assure you of a GD/PI call. Lower than this and you will be at the mercy of the competition.
And the Interview panel has the details of the written scores so please expect some questions in case of skewed scores.

Well no particular strategy as such... If I go by the last year's FMS paper i.e. the one in 2007 then its comparable but the one conducted in 2008 was a tad bit more difficult than MIB/MHROD entrance paper.
Gk is not needed for this entrance exam.
If u still want strategy just focus on speed.. thats all... Rest the attempt sequence will be according to your preference.... whatever suits you. Coz one man's strengths may be another's weakness.
