I seriously advocate reading only Newspaper......but it must be in depth....spend quality 1-2 hr daily.....i did last year and cleared all GK section of all entrance exams....no need to read any magazine for IRMA......GK of IRMA is related with the recent happenings and policies regarding the rural sector and all newspaper cover these things....Last year 2-3 questions were asked on the SEZ becuase it was hot topic last year and one question was min size for constructing SEZ.......now do we really need any magazine for this....Moreover be practical......you people are not preparing only for IRMA.......you people have so many other things to read......this is my take on the GK section.....others are also correct their approach........

hi, frnds i am also prep for irma i thin that if fw of us work together then we cat get through irma exam just a team work s required from now on let us decide one day in a week to meet at this thread and discuss our prepwhich will help all of us i will wai for the irma seniors to give us some help one day every week u all decide

Hi There,

The Total Intake for the PRM course is-95.

FPM is a highly specialized course,was not able to find the exact number of seats up for grabs in this course,may be someone from IRMA will be able to let us know.

Please do look into these special eligibility requiremens for FPM:

Eligibility:

Candidates with any one of the following: (i) Postgraduationin any discipline from a recognisedInstitution with 55% marks and 50% marks at graduation level; (ii) PRM from IRMA; (iii) Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience; (iv) Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks are eligible for admission to FPRM. SC/ST/OBC/PwD(Persons with Disability) candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above. Candidates, who expect to fulfilthe eligibility requirements before June 08, 2009, may also apply.

I was planning to set the thread for IRMA [2009-11] on the day i saw ad in TOI. But was thinking, there weren't any such active thread(s) for IRMA for last batches and wondered if any senior would take the front to help and guide us. So, chucked the idea. But, surprisingly, thanks to Ashish sir who took the wake-up call and i see, the thread has got the life with the immense support of others like spirit. Thanks to both of you to share the magnificent information regarding IRMA.

Just browsed through all the posts in a while and cleared all my doubts in this concern.


I am week at GK/Social concern.. So gotta gear up now. Though, i was taking it lightly as if i will clear the very section.

@ Seniors: Will jump back to the thread if some doubts get me!

Both FPRM & PRM intake varies on a year-2-year basis....the max allowed is 120 for the batch but if the batch quality is not good they may restrict it to 70-90 or fewer.....
we have 4 FPRM participants and 71 PRM participants in our batch...

GK is the make or break section....so dont take it lightly....ur GK prep will help u even in the GD-PI....so do some quality reading.....if u r reading a topic thn make sure u go in depth of it.... the gk sources have already been mentioned in ealrier pages....
