Koi Nahi soya bhai ...raaton ki neend haram ho gayi after reading bout the process...
This is what I could dig out frm some previous years' threads
REGARDING GD
regarding GD's the institute observes the student how well he/she can communicate and handling of the situation...if u can start the gd it a benefit for u...it shows ur leadership skills..regarding the topics..there is no standard topics...try to be aware of the recent hot topics...make it a habit of reading newspaper...it helps u a lot...eye contact is important when u put forward ur points...try to make eye contact with all the members if possible..
How it works...?
The last year there were 2 rounds of GD after that a phycometric test was conducted,
based on the results of it. Candidates were selected for PI's.
There were two PI's one HR & another Technical.
Short Key to Sucess:- Good Positive Confidence with clear communication.
GD were mostly like world issues. India vs China, Global warming.. etc
1st GD was easy and was taken by external faculties.. here the key was active participation.. N very importantly how encourage others.. How manage or avoid any conflict.
And mind you it was better to avoid For or Against for topic.
2nd GD:- Was taken by Director & Registar.
Here also keep in mind the above mention Points.
Riight Atiitude was needed.
ASK: Atittude Skill & Knoledge.
For GDs I would recommend you to be well versed with the current affairs and that should help you a lot.
For interview prepare atleast two subjects well enough so that you can answer most of the questions.
The total score would be the deciding factor while the merit list is prepared, so SNAP score would play a huge role and so would your score in the GD/PI round.
FOR PI
generally ppl ask you about your interest area during interview and majority of questions are based on that. But it happens that some students in order to impress board give tough or advance topics to show off and in the end, end up hanging on the rope given by themselves. During interviews you might end up with two scenario :
i) board is completely non techie ( it is rare as lot of ppl hv engg background) : then they will talk IT applications and their impact etc or might ask you to tell about business implications of a technological revolution say impact of skype on telecom revenue etc
ii) board has tech background : in this case you might be asked abut your interest area ( prepare 2-3 topics) and then majority of questions will come from here. Remember one thing nobody expects you to know all. what is being valued is if you know, how logical you are in presenting yourself with confidence and if you don't know how do handle such scenario. remember in life 90% incidents which hit us are not known to us but we manage so just manage your interview like that
Hope this helps
I am really scared now..2 gd,for i physcometric,fir 2 pi's..baap re..its gonna be
