Hi seniors

Is age also one of the factors behind giving a call.

Do you have a cut off for the age of the person taken into consideration.

If someone has 3 years IT work exp with onsite work exp.

Decent academics (between 70 to 80%) in X,XII and Engg and lots of participation in extra curricular activities.:new_scatter:

How would you rate such a profile.:

What kind of snap score might be required to get a GD PI call.

Thanks in advance.

It is dependent on what course you want to select. But to generalise things for you, a score of 70 should ideally get you a call for GD PI.

All the best

There is no Age factor in the admission process. But the average age of the students is around 24-25. Again this would vary slightly wrt each stream.
3 years of IT exp makes you an ideal candidate for ITBM stream. But then it depends on your area of interest. Onsite exp does not fetch you any brownie points :(
Decent acads are always good.
As I said your profile suits the ITBM stream.
And as Shreeji said ITBM cutoff last year was 88... trend is that it keeps getting higher every year... so keep that in mind...

Cheers

Hi Padmakar,

First of all, in SCIT I guess there must be lotsa guyz with diff streams. It doesnt matter from which background you are. Just give your best and u will be thru SCIT. Right now just concentrate on scoring good marks in SNAP.

Its good to see that you have industry exp of 3 years and that will taken into consideration and will be an added advantage @ time of placements.

I guess the syllabus @ SCIT wud be grooming you to be an IT expert by the time you walk out of the institute.

So dont worry @ all and just go in with it.

Thanks

Shail

Hi,

The ISS course at SCIT is a niche program that is unlike any of the regular IT programs offered at other institutes. In fact of late ISS passouts are making a name for themselves in the corporate world and students of this stream are in demand as they immediately satisfy the needs of information security. The course is a mix of Technical, Managerial and Consulting.
However I would suggest that do not attach yourself to a stream immediately as you have just 4 months of exp. Make sure that the course you want to join is the one which u like as this will be the stepping stone for your career.

Cheers
