Hi,

I had issues with getting a release from my current organization at a short notice period. I cited this reason to the SP Jain admission commitee and they agreed for the deferral. If someone has a reason, the joining can be deferred to the immediate next intake. Right.... I was supposed to pay the initial deposit of USD 2500 that I have already done. The amount would be adjusted against the fee payment for December intake.

The deferral terms are as follows:

1. You need to pay the initial non-refundable deposit now with a request for deferment in hardcopy
2. The fees would be as applicable for the next intake
3. The deferment of admission is only for the specific stream of super-specialization you have been offered.
4. Should for any reason S P Jain not be in a position to offer this specialization in the next intake, the management will give you an option to be re-evaluated for a stream in the same specialization i.e. if you have been offered IB and this specialization is not being offered, you can change your super-specialization to WM or BM or any other super-specialization being offered for the intake
5. You can defer your admissions only till the next intake.

I paid the initial non refundable deposit of 2500 USD and submitted a hard copy reuqesting deferment.

Hello Priyanka,

shortlisting n even final selection in spjcm depends a lot on the spez one has applied for.
Just to give you n idea my roomie scored 98.44 %tile in SPJAT n didn't even got an evaluation call for IT.Reason may be that there was a lot of competition in IT.

So apart from profile, selection also depends upon the spez you have applied for?
state level chess champ is a very strong point but at the same time work ex is something spjcm is looking for.

Even in interview they asked people abt work-ex related quetions.

I was also rejected for june intake ...........i reached till dean's interview round.......but i think my lesser work exp was the problem as in the interview dean told me i have very less work exp compare to average work exp for IB. ..........i am going to apply for dec intake

I have few questions in mind, if you can clarify them :
- Will giving GMAT / SPJAT and earning a high score (over CAT 89.31%ile) add weightage to my profile?
- Does applying to the course at an early stage matters (i.e. in the first months when the admission opens). When is the right time to apply for the course if i fulfill all the requirements)
- I will be having 24 months of work exp in Jun2 2008 in IT field. So if i apply for IT management, do my chances of getting into the college gets higher?

-High score always benefit while evaluation.
-The admissions are offered on the rolling basis so earlier u will apply the better are the chances.
-If you will apply for IT Management then chances of getting shortlisted is high as yr past work exp is in the IT Industry but it does not mean that if u apply for any other spec then u will not be considered.

I was not looking for this SP Jain course when looking for a 1 year MBA but a post on one of the threads caught my eye.
2 things that still keep me away from this one are:
1. The placement statistics (Pay package wise) of earlier batches.
2. The unfriendly website. S.P.Jain Center of Management - Dubai . Singapore (is that the right one I am looking at?) I cant seem to find enough information on it. Could someon tell me the timelines of the admission procedure?
This website says folks with no experience are also welcome, but have prior batches noted any min experience requirement?
Hoping to find some details here. Thanks in advance.
