Request you to pls throw some light on the job profiles for Wealth Mgmt specialisation !! ( in detail would be much appreciated )

Well, I was from ITM specialization and may not be able to provide you too much details on the Wealth Management profiles. I know that positions such as Senior Financial Manager, Financial Planning manager, Customer Relationship Manager, Portfolio advisor were some of the roles offered by companies like Citibank Investment Banking, Barclays, ICICI securities, Franklin Templeton Investments.

Not to mention that the above list is not exhaustive by any means.

Also it would be great if you tell the job prospects of WM in Singapore & Dubai.

I am currently working in the PAN Asian region and can assure you the the financial sector here has taken a big hit in the last 6 months, having said that Singapore still remains a financial hub and companies like Citibank, Barclays, ICICI bank hire especially from SPJ for their Singapore operations.

Dubai on the other hand is the land of opportunities when it comes to Financial placements, expect loads of offers and good pay here.
Thanks Jayant for your insights, it would definitely help others who come across this post.
I got to know about prospects on WM spez. I have gathered some information / my perceptions as well. I am stating them here. Request you to please validate them.

1. We can join Financial Services Industry as Capital Mkt Analyst, Investment Associate, Wealth Advisors

2> Indian education system is a failure or success (My GD Topic)
3> Brain Drain
4> Best teacher i had ever ( Essay)
5> Five things i want to change about myself. etc

So it will be a range.

You can also be given choices for the essay topics.

In my intake process, there was also Group Interview ( Nov 2006 ).
Some questions were :

1> Why Product Marketing ?
2> What will you add to the stream ?
3> What is the difference between Marketing of Ceiling Fan and Insurance?
4> Qualities
5> weakness
6> Future plans - where u see ur self type.
etc etc

it was team of 3 people, 2 males and 1 female.. almost all taught us later.. but they really create pressure , you need to be calm..

So GD , Essay , GI and then happened the final PI .

PI was with Mr Nitesh Jain , He asked just few questions ?

1> Which sectors would you like to work for ??
2> Why not IT ??
3> What was your last achievement?

We were 35 people in first stage and 8 in the final PI and i think 4 made it to final Admit.

My suggestion : Be what you are and be transparent.Dont make up your facts , people on the other side are all acclaimed and highly matured guys , they can catch you for lie .
Be confident and answer.

SP jain as a tradition has that special corner for Cultural . family values. So if you get a topic in GD/Essay that has to do with them , be careful in putting you thoughts.I mean you can always put your thoughts but with in a structured manner.

Best of luck
