SP Jain (Singapore/Dubai) GMBA - DEC 2008 Intake

Hi

Could anybody who has already done or pursuing GMBA at SPJAIN throw some light on teaching methods applied for GMBA; does teaching involve case studies,open discussions and group activities and how often?

Yes

Case studies is the major part of any course. there are group activities for all the subjects and you are graded on that.
There are also two industry interfaces that take place in Singapore and Dubai both .. basically you do two projects with industry.

Groupworks are very strictly monitored and around 40-45% of your grades are based on it.And the authenticity is maintained to the level that if you are caught in case of Pilferage you can be expelled at the same moment without any consideration.

I am selected in IT Management for Dec-2008 intake (anybody else for the same batch??) .Currently working in TCS (US onsite) with around 5yrs of work exp.

Can anybody please tell me how is the lateral placement (if any) for IT management from SP jain in dec batch?Also, how was the last decemeber batch placed? (as spjain website doesn't give placement info abt any Dec batch)

Do Spjain face any issues in placement for IT management from Dubai? (as dec batch will complete program from dubai)

One of my collague at Microsoft is from DEC 07 batch of SP Jain -Dubai/Singapore. He did NOT mention any issues with the DEC batch placements, on the other hand he recommended SP Jain for its ability to place its students in SIngapore and UAE even in the mid of global economic crisis.

As per my colleague Microsoft , KPMG, Fullerton- Singapore, Accenture Business consulting - Singapore, Bar code- Gulf, ITC infotech, Cedar Consulting, Frost and Sullivan, Yes Bank, Arther D Little were few of the top recruiters in IT Management Dec 07 batch.
