IIP is not a paid internship. IIP is meant for practically applying the classroom stuff in the actual market condtion and learning from it.
College will help u get a project with a company but if u can manage 1 on ur own...then that's very well recieved too.

hi guys, i just bumped into this thread... well i v been looking for some useful info for gd/pi . i v got an evaluation call for GLSCM and have booked my slot for 31st aug. I m from a mech background (B.E) but shifted to I.T and now lookin for a change to SCM.
Can some of u help with topic s asked in essay s and gd? Also are there ne stat s about the ratio of conversions in the evaluation?? Plz share what ever experience s you have or know about. Thanks

Also I belong to IT background so how can I justify my switch to this domain?

Hi All,

I have completed my B.Tech in May 2008.
I am selected in Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and expected to get the joining in Oct-2008. I am Thinking of applying in SP Jain Dubai & Singapore for DEC-08 intake.
I have given the GMAT last month but was pretty downside with a low score of 540. So, me thinking of giving the aptitude test dated on 17th aug to have a better score than my GMAT one.
My other Credentials are
B.Tech-7.56/10
XII-76.4%
X-78.6%
Work-Exp- NIL (Till Date)

As i Browse through the profile of the Jan'08-09 batch intake, i come to know that there was only one student with the min exp of 3 months in "Service Marketing and Management" specialization. So, I want to know that is Work Experience count so much that there is no fresher in the batch. As i am the fresher , should i go for the test and apply or should i defer the application for 12-18 months.

Please Help me

Hi,

I know that SPJCM pays a lot of attention to professional diversity and work experience, As you rightly obsrved there is only 1 student with very low work-ex. I would recommend you work for 2 years atleast and improve your score before trying to get into SPJ.

waht are the cut offs for sp jain dubai/singapore campus??i'm still in college no job experience!!i shouldn't bother to apply right?my aacademic was good though....

10th 94.8%
12th 80.75%
graduation(avg of 1st 2 yrs) 72%

wat are the odds i'll get a call if i reach the cut off??
