Welingkar GD/PI Experience 2008

do they ask for original marksheet of class tenth twelfth n degree exams??

or we hav to go with xerox

or none??

i d like to clear a few doubts of u all:

1. Marks sheet are not being asked. No orginals/photocopies reqd. It ll be good for u ifu carry ur certi file atleast (just for them to c in PI). Mine they didnt c.

2. Psychometric test doesnt have much weightage (i am not 100 percent sure). The banglore dean in the presentation said that this test is just for them to c wht path u'll take in the college, right from the start till the placement. Personally i didnt understand much f that but in a way he said tht dnt wry abt this test.

3. There havent been a single technical interview in Bangalore (atleast for the 15-20 ppl i've talked to). just be clear abt ur job/college project.

Now for my GD/PI exp:

Batch : 9 am, 26th april, bangalore

Presentation:

was good but i couldnt digest a couple f things (though i didnt argue)
1 Welingkar no 12th in country
2 Welingkar no 1 in maharashtra
3 Max sal 25.05 lakhs this yr (though it said international)
4 Avg 7.2 lakhs

GD: we were divided in 3 grps of 4 people each and each grp was asked to suggest a topic. After that they gave us their own topic :

Japanese speak japanese,
Russians speak russian
Chinese speak mandarian
BUT indians speak english

blah blah blah blah....n gd ended.

PI: Not even a single stress interview has happened so far .
2 males
Went ok....asked abt job, college, motor racing, al gore's movie ( forgot its name), bird watching ( ???????), diff between PGDM and MBA, how i rank colleges, wht qualities i need to start my own venture (i nvr said i wanted to ).


Guys my advice....whatever they ask....if "passion" can be one of the answers, just fit that in...they like hearing it


manager - passion
student - passion
charity work - passion
hobby - passion

overall it was a very smooth process....excellent time management and care....i d rank this as one of the top processes i ve seen so far.....

I just took my admit card printout with photo, cat score card, a photocopy of it, and a photoidentity card. thats all. they did not ask for anything other than those 3.

Hey ppl who have finished their gd/pis.....thanks for sharing ur experiences!!!!

If u could describe ur pictures for the creativity test and we would analyse it in our own way here and compare....i guess that would help us prepare for it

those pictures cannot be described much few of us gave some idea in the previous posts..

and you cant analyse as such through the description provided by us as it is our view and everyone will say something diff for the same picture. It is better to face that picture with an open minded than having some presumptions

i can tell u my analysis of the picture
This picture is a picture representing 50's when there was less traffic,compared to present situation as it took me 1hr ro reach welingkar bangalore,if u see the building its a palace type building,u dont find such buildings today ,u find only these glass buildings which r very posh.......wht we can infer is tht how it has changed from then till now........i think u have got a idea.........

One thing i want to say is things are well organised,no need to get panic be cool ,gd panel was from industries one from hal and other from bial bangalore for us ,PI as such no technical drilling was there in bangalore,gd and pi will contribute 100 marks ,so if u do well in these 2 then it will not tht difficult and regarding gd one thing i want to say every one tries to make a point ,so make sure u make ur point because in our batch our panelists told tht some of u didnt say anythin which means u r not interested in participating in gd and pyschometric test weightage not very sure

hey whole experience was in short a fabolous one..different from aal others..very well conducted....for gd they asked us to choose topic among ourselves..and everyone had its own topic..so finally panel gave its own topic...PI in general was a very cool..no grilling on acads..wat relief..rest anyone who have attended several gds will go through it easily..last pshcometric..just know yourself..done witl whole process in 3hours...wishing al of you best of luck...http://www.orkut.com/Profile.aspx?ui...87261717769633
