ICFAI FEE REFUND (Admission 2008-10)

Hi Guys !

i am starting this thread for the students who got through ICFAI colleges and had no option to pay their hard earned 80000 bucks to ICFAI authorities before they could wait for any other college result to come out.

As we all know , that ICFAI has clearly stated that these 80K bucks are non-refundable under any circumstances.but let me enlighten you guys with some facts.there has been a circular issued by HRD ministry that has ordered all the institutes coming under UGC grant and AICTE to refund the remaining fee after deducting only 1000 Rs out of the Admission fee if the student is willing to withdraw his/her candidature before the classes begin.

IBS does not award any degrees/ diplomas; it merely extends academic support and placement assistance to the students interested in pursuing MBA & Executive PG Programs of the Icfai University, Dehradun as private candidates. Hence IBS has not sought any approval from AICTE.

Hi angel bhai,

Even I am in the same boat as u are...even i need to get my hard earned money bak...i have dropped them a letter but they have not replied bak...
i have PMed u my no. too...
since ICFAI comes under UGC recognition there shud be a refund policy...n even if it has certain clauses which makes it out of this purview it has no right to forfeit 80k straightforwardly...
I read about ur petition wala thng n i will be glad if u can come up with some solution for all such ppls...
wat i personally feel is that if we have a petition filed court wud definitely look into the matter and hopefully it will atleast benefit ppl from next yr onwards...Looking forward for support from all PGites to extend their support on the matter....its not about our refund but for every1's benefit...

I am in the same league... I wonder how come ICFAI holds the guts to openly ask students for non refundable fee... its a very good initiative wrath_angel... We just cant let them keep our 80K so easily, its a big amount... I am ready for any assistance you might need for leagal action against them.

Hi all,

Any action which has been taken againtst them.....i dropped them a letter regarding withdrawal of admission and attached a photocopy of the courts order....however they have not reverted bak....any idea where we shud file our queries so that atleast we can some response from them....

I had called up today at ibs - hyderabad they have asked me to send them an email with my admit card and enrollment number for refund of fees at admissions@ibsindia.org whereas I told them that I had already sent an email at ibshyd@ibsindia.org n ibsmum@ibsindia.org. They said that they have`nt received my mails.
But later wen my frnd callled them they told her that this matter will be looked into after 3rd week of june and they just hung up the phone.
plz if anybody has any other info do post it at this forum.

the best way for this is to go to them after calling the director of the institute and telling him/her about your roll number and details. I think thats the one sureshot way of getting your fees out.
