Hi Puys...I have taken admission in an institute which is a deemed university. The course has commenced from 23rd June 2008. I have cancelled my admission on 22nd July 2008 and taken admission some where else.., now they are saying that we cannot refund a single rupee from Rs 2Lac 10 Thousand which I have paid...What should I do next.... The intake capacity as mentioned in the course is 30 students while...now there are 31 students including me.... so in this case can anybody guide me as to what refund rules can apply.... reply as early as possible...thanks

Hey im back puys ( these pagal guy admins fuckin banned me..)


anyway.... even i have received 64K's as the fee refund from ICFAI university.
and in case any of u still has long hopes of getting ur bucks back..then i must say its too late...few days back i called up ICFAI authorities...to ask them to return me my 15K's back too...and they told me..very few pple have got their money back....the reason for such discrimination is...that,...their lawyers had a very weak case against pple like us who got their money back....
IN my case, the reason cud be that i deposited the fee after the official date for acceptance of the fee and still they accepted it..so this was wrong on their part..many other students got their fee back who dint clear their grads....

ICFAI authorities further told me that now they wont b refunding fee of any other students.and they can c them in court...they said their college doesnt follow any damn UGC and AICTE guidelines and they have a very strong legal system..still if u guys need any help..contact me.. at 9818378480.....

Hmmm, I wonder why they banned you in the first place?? You seem to be a rather potile and decent chap.

And congrats on getting your money back and I wouldn't be giving my no. on a public forum if I were you... you never know with all the tele-marketers lurking on this forum

By chance and to my surprise , this year i came across as many as half a dozen of aplicant including Me, who has got their fee refunded from ICFAI (64000/- only).ICFAI may have changed their attitude as they now want AICTE approval badly and doing hard to get it (Got to know from one of the student at icfai Hyderbad)or ICFAI has some loop hole left in their admission and fee colleting process,which they think can lead them to have a verdict against them in COURT .


One of the flaw with their admission procedure is that they have manipulated their admission procedure this year in such a way ,that they get extra monetory benefits.
Icfai have made transfer of some students from second Tier colleges to first tier colleges (HYEDERABAD, KOLKTA, MUMBAI,GURGAON) AND from Third and fourth tier to Second and third Tier respectively .But they have not accepted any request of transfer within First Tier.This they had done to increase profit with the diffrence in the fees between any two consecutive Tier's.Obviously they will not be getting benefited by allowing transfer within a Tier.

Any applicant who is not getting his/her refund can actualy file a case in the court stating that their faith has been shattered because of the non transparent admissions procedure and fowl admission tactics of ICFAI that has lead to the DILUTION OF QUALITY OF STUDENTS in a particular Icfai campus.


i used the same argument & have got my refund from icfai without filing a case.
I Hope this may be of some help to all of you.

Hi all,

CNN-IBN covered our story about the fee refund and was telecast on 19th. But the issue is that one internal circular sent to the staff and students of IBS Jammu, clearly stated that they have struck a deal with CNN-IBN. Also, the interviews done were not telecast fully. As per the circular CNN had withheld tapes and interviews done with the students affected. The circular says "
CNN-IBN ISSUE: We will take up this issue at a latter date after the CNN-IBN issue fizzles out. I already spoke to CNN-IBN Headquarters in Noida and New Delhi. They are holding back the story and the tapes as I told them the truth.



But still we are trying to be vigilant and creed the rejoinder after management approval as the TV stringer is trying to brew trouble for us among the regional media.

Even the media is misusing us who want justice from ICFAI. CNN has proved that "Pen is not sharper than knife but money is!.
