ICFAI FEE REFUND (Admission 2008-10)

Hi all,

I have lodged a complain on Consumer forum Consumer Online Resources & Empowerment Centre and they forwarded the complain to ICfai National College. I got a call from the legal advisor there and they said that they have forwarded my complain to IBS...hope to get some response from them now...in the meanwhile i wud request u all to lodge ur complaints on consumer forum so that they take a proper action due to large number of complaints.
also came to know that Great lakes is refunding 40K out of 50k which they took...so may b icfai wud do sumthng but sum action needs to be taken by all....

@ amit- hey amit even I'm not joining ICFAI, mumbai, even though i didnt have any other calls . after lots of introspection i decided i will give CAT another shot.
Could you please tell me how you went about giving the complaint. Whats the procedure ?

Hi,
I too have registered a complaint in CORE.
But,seeing previous records of ICFAI I don't think we stand a chance to get the money back.
Still we need to keep on trying.
I have been told by 2-3 guys who suffered the same fate from 07-09 batch.
Even after their efforts they were unable to get anything from ICFAI

Hey Amit..
it would be very kind of you if you could just elaborate on the procedure of lodging a complaint on CORE..even i m in the same boat as urs..though i have mailed to the oficial ICFAI mail id for refund, but dint get any response..so now i m looking forward to lodging a comlpaint..plz help out Bro..

email id is same that was for admissions@ibsindia.com,
But they are not responding to any mail, ' Amit JI'.
If you happen to get Mail ID Of Mr. R R Reddy or Mr. sharma at Icfai admission office at Punjgutta then do put the same on this Forum.

Hi guys,

Has anybody got refund of Rs.80,000 from ICFAI? I have sent many emails but they are not responding. Is there any body who has not been refunded but would like to go for legal action?

Hey guys,

I find lot of people worried about the admission fee refund. If all of us could file an online application to Mr. Sunil Kumar, Joint Secretary (Higher Education) we might be able to get back the money. This is a great initiative by the Government of India. I have filed my grievance online as well as sent the documents by courier to the address in Delhi.

Mr. Sunil Kumar is the person who had signed in the government order directing refund to students.

I am posting for the benefit of all puys who want to get their fee refunded and have filed/ thinking of filing a consumer court complaint.

Please be informed that a consumer court has jurisdiction only over what is writtten in the prospectus. If ICFAI has written that Rs. 80,000 i.e. the initial amount will not be refunded in the prospectus then the consumer court will not have any jurisdiction over that matter.
