didnt convert... and totally dejected..... had a decent GD and a good PI.. was pretty confident of converting the best call...
@seniors... nobody is waitlisted... all are either rejected or selected... somebody said arnd 70+ calls have been given... what if all the seats are not filled up... will the rejected candidates be converted to waitlisted then.. pls throw some light..

I am nt a senior but your batchmate. the reason for you been offered DLT can be one of these:
- by the time ur number for alotment came DLM seats were full thats why you were offered your second preference
-The management found you more fit for DLT
dont worry . I have inquired and being in DLT you can specialize in finance , marketing or whatever you want. And apart from that in the placement process no differentiation is made in DLT and DLM, so much that when I asked a boy of class of 2009 , how about the placements of DLT he was not even sure that who are the DLTs. DLTs have 1 subject different in every semester. seniors of DLT have got consultancy profiles and I was told one DLT senior has got Lehman brothers as his placement. So you can confidently join this. Besides scholarships are available only in DLT.
Hope this makes your decision easy.

i hav a question for seniors, if they possess the freedom to disclose the total no. of students that appeared for GD-PI...or for that matter were called for GD-PI...i know the last rank to be called in general category was around 400 but how many ppl out of 1st 400 applied to DMS??  | | | | | | | |

1. How's the scene for summer placements at dms, iitd?
2. Any international placements at IITD? Or is it some policy disallowing international offers?
