Can you please ask them the no. of calls issued this time? As in, the last waitlisted candidate called this time around? This should help in speculating the movement for waitlisters like me and amankwatra. It will also help people take decisions, who are in the "majhdhar"

I rememeber that someone, a few weeks back, did some analysis and gave a calculated guess on the WL movement at DMS ( number of converts to be expected).

Anyone for a fresh analysis now?
Any guesses on till what number the WL will move?

Dint get u...they have sent out 1 call, cuz they had 1 vacancy...that was bcuz 1 person betwn w/l no 7-9 dint take his seat, so Mr 10 got it...now when more withdrawals happen, they will give out more calls...what do u need me to find out?

i think all the analysis till date have proven to be a debacle. becoz. of poor waitlist movement either due to slow cancellation process from either the dms authorities or from the people leaving the college or both( am not blaming anyone). but after the waitlist clearance by sjmsom till w/l no. 30 again i have compared the candidates of both the colleges and have found that around 28 students are common b/w those selected in iit-b and those waitltisted till waitlist no. 24 in iit-d. and their are many more to follow as many waitlisted students are selected in other b-schools like fms, iims,xlri . and i have found that most of these common students who r on pg are choosing iit-b . their may be students going for other colleges by leaving iit-d for iims. fms, xlri, spjain,mdi,nitie etc.. .
so my analysis say that w/l clearing should not be less than 30-35 this year. in any case.

sorry for missing out, deepak gupta as i may presume is at w/l no. 10 may not join (making a guess) as we both were together during gd/pi and after during our journey to our homes as he was a bit more intrested in iit-b and he has converted the same. i will try to call him in a day or two

VGSOM second list confirmation is being sent by surface mail......received letter today by speed post dated may 21........will not be taking it up as i am here at this thread

Oh!
I thought WL 10 got a call because of withdrawals in progress (already confirmed students) not because of one cancellation from WL 7-9.

I had asked you this question because of the pattern of 2 last movements this year. DMS had called 6 people at one go in the first movement, and 3 together at the second go. So I thought another group movement has begun. Thanks for asking though.

I guess this means that people who are going to leave DMS for SJMSOM/FMS etc have still not started canceling their seats. Or the officials at DMS are waiting for final cancellation process to get over before giving out calls.

In this scenario perhaps a wait till 6th june will clear things up.
My only problem is that SIBM Pune begins on 9th june (8th june is the latest joining date)

Can the guys who will withdraw their seat from IITD plz provide an approximate date of doing so.
This will give us an idea about the waitlist movement.

i am posting a list of those candidates which are selected in IIT-B
and are also selected or waitlisted till W/L NO. 24 in IIT-DELHI.
IT IS A LIST OF 28 STUDENTS and i have observed if IIT-B waitlist move
further by 10 or so we will see atleast 4-5 more dditions in the list.
i therefore request all these guys to update their admission status and other puys
can also update the status of selected guys if they are sure of their decision
