1. The specialization like marketing, finance et al are given at will or there is some criteria.....what is break up of your batch vis-a-vis these specializations.

2. When a company comes for placements, then are all students eligible or its wrt the specialization (inane though coz it should be as per specialization like financial profile company only allowing finance batch)

I did check last posts , i think he is also waitlisted in IIT B ..
so was confused.....

and i did not pm him because his choice might help other confused people in making a decision !! and may also help to check current position of IITD among other institutes !

i dont think so any seniors wil reply.. as they have gone for their summers... to know the updated status regarding wl u have to call 011 2659 7034.. i called them on wednesday till then they had called only people till wl 6... and told me to call on friday i.e. today to know if their is any movement...

i doubt tat wl movement will go till my rank.... just updating for the junta here

I think i have been misunderstood,
i was asking about the communication from DMS for students who are joining. as in the date to land up there, a formal welcome letter, which hostel/building to proceed to, whom to contact etc etc

The WL will move considerably but only a little later. You have a good chance of converting.

@WL ppl....called today...they have not made a new list as of today....we need to find out next week...however i think they would wait some time so that a considerable no of ppl have withdrawn b4 coming out wid new numbers...so have a nice wait till then...

What about the waitlist movement?? Any updates?? I am waitlisted at 18. Earlier was almost certain that I would make it
But now, with the slow movement at IITD compared to the other colleges, am really sceptical about my chances

Hi ,

just called DMS for the updates of waitlist movement.
they have told that they have issued 3 new calls i.e now calls have been issued till WL9.
i further enquired about calls to be issued in future and they have replied that as if now they are full and as and when some one withdraw his candidature then only they ll issue call letters.
so this is going contrary to earlier view that i have read on this thread that once IIMs results are out. it ll move fast...
so its quite unlikely it ll reach to my number as well
