I guess the last date to pay the fees for ppl in first list was 16th May..
Does anyone has an idea as to when is the next list expected..?
I tried calling IITM.. But could not get any info abt it..

1. In the current batch the person with max experience is 10 years. She has worked with CTS. Other than that we have an Army Colonel with 264 months of work ex. In our seniors, the max experience that we had was 71 months. The army personnel in that batch had 334 months of experience.
2. We don't have specific lateral placements here. However, if you have relevant experience you get a suitably higher designation and package as compared to another person who doesn't have work experience and/or summer internship in the same domain.
3. One yr at DoMS consists of around 8 months of study, with 4 quarters of 2 months each. 2 months of vacation after the 1st 2 quarters and the next 2 months is summers.

The next list usually comes within 20-25 days. Though there is no official confirmation of that. Speaking from last yrs experience. Diff to confirm that since we are busy with summer internships during the office hours and Sat the office remains closed. Will try to confirm it though.

eg. is it from July 2008 to March 2010 for new batch

It would be more like July 2008 to May 2010 since this is what I have observed here. Get the official word from the dept on this though.

The academic schedule is from July Last week 2008 till Mid May (usually the 15th) of 2010. To be safe, you can extend it till the 20th...

July - Sept = Q1 & 5
Sept - Dec (week1) = q2 & 6
dec weeks 2-4 = break (second year placements happen during this time)
Jan - Mar week 1 = q3 & 7
mar - May week 1 = q4 & 8
may mid - july mid = Summer internships

As far as the IIT SBI is concerned, I went yesterday . The loan interest rate would be 10.75 %. And rest all formalities almost the same.

But just one thing, your guaranteer (most cases dad/mom) has to be with u for signing the forms in front of the banking officials....

And as far as loans from ur hometowns are concerned, u would require
1. The Admission offer letter.
2. If possible the first sem fee receipt(which i got coz i deposited my fees in person)
3. And other degree certificates, bank statements of ur guaranteer etc....

If u know of any bank with lower interst rates plz do inform........

Cant we avail the loan without guaranteer ? If that is the case then most of us will not be able to avail the loans as it would be difficult for our folks to visit the college for this purpose.

Is there any other option regarding the same?
