@ puys who have received the offer letters.

Can u guys post a scanned copy of the offer letter for the benefit of all who are yet to receive the same...
It will be great if any one can summarize the following for others:

1. DD details : Drawn if favour of , payable at , Amount , any other specifics...
2. Offer letter : Is the letter reference no. common to all??? Just filling up the details & signing it will suffice rt???
3. Address of correspondence : To whom should it be addressed to... Any constraint on type of post.. Like only registered or Speed post.. usually IIT's have these restrictions ..

Kindly add any other useful info which ive misssed...

Hi abt the Reference no...I am not sure whether this no. is unique or not.. So plz others who have got the letters check trhere ref no. and verify whether its same or diff..

I doubt if it is mentioned in the letter...

I guess there is no such thing that ICICI is not a nationalized bank.. By nationalized bank, we mean that it should have a national presence and not that it should be Govt bank like SBI or its allied banks (like UCO bank, etc.)

Their concern is only that the bank should have a branch in Chennai so that they don't have to indulge in encashing the drafts in a bank in some other state or city than Chennai.. So all banks such as ICICI, HSBC, HDFC, SBI, etc would do..

well just searched on Google, n inthe list of nationalised banks, ICICI N HDFC do not appear.
so i guess its better to get the draft made form SBI or some other bank like this.

For all the people who want to send the downloaded copy be rest assured. The format is absolutely fine. So if they(IIT people) are willin to accept the downloaded copy then u can use it widout worry..Link is on page 42's last post..

Ill still Fax one copy to vikas as he has given his Fax no. Anyone who wants tht can ask it from him...Ill fax in an hour or so...

As far as the reference no. is concerned then i dont know whethr iots unique or not..One of the puys said tht he also has same no. as mine so i think they are same..so i think Just filling up the details & signing it will suffice..

So i guess this is the address..Mode of sendin DD is not given so u can opt for most reliable and secure means..

U can mention that on the envelope what it contains so tht its clear to Dept. people wen it reaches there...

I dont think there's a need to panic..
They have said tht we can fax the letter wid DD details filled in case of postal delay and they will reserve out seat so i dont think we shld worry...
Also dont forget to drop a mail acceptin the offer at cacad@iitm.ac.in

There is catch over here.. On one page they have mentioned tht if u submit the cancellation form(given in the letter sent by them) by 14th july they will deduct 1000/- and return rest..On other they say tht they will return 50% amt..
