I request you to please update the latest placement report at ur inst. site.. I think this is the crucial time when people have the multiple final admission offers..
Hence it would be better if we can see the latest placement report.. and decide that which inst. should we join.

Here are the placement details for this year. Hindu article: The Hindu Business Line : Big offers for IIT Madras management grads and the article in ET as an image: http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/life-b...tml#post933089 (Life@DoMS,IIT Madras) . Besides this data which is now around 3 months old, we have had some updates:
1. One of the students got in Barclays London for Global Leadership Prog.

2. One of the students has got placed in Bank of America.

3. Wipro has increased the CTC of all the joinees by .25 -0.5 LPA wrt to the work ex of an indivdual.

4. IBM has upgraded profiles from PM to Strategy and consulting

5. Citibank has increased CTC by 1.5 LPA

thanks for providing the link of report on Hindu Business. Are the average and median salary given in that hindu report are the final results? Or does it requires some updation?

Another query i have is how exactly the placement takes place like Can people appear for other companies even after getting selected in one.. or they have to wait till everbody get one offer.

The average salary will be updated soon as the CTCs by various companies have been revised in the offer letters.

Placement process details cant be revealed on public forum but, you definitely get shot to more than 1 company.

Well its my last day at IIT M. And as I realize that you all are awaiting your call letters, today I managed to go to the admission office personally to see the status of the letters. The officals of registrar office are yet to send the letters, they had just finished cross checking the mail address of converters. So they would be dispatching it by tomorrow or Monday.
