AFAIK, no person who was on the list (before the SC ruling) has been left out in the new list...

If I may ask, is there any particular reason why you ask this question? If my memory serves me right, it was the HoD who mentioned that there was no person in the first list who got left out in the second. (No need to do so...)

I too, would like to add one thing here..

When i called DoMS for my results, i also asked about whether GEN category list that came earlier has been modified (apart from inquiring my result and hearing the good news

).. and the answer was
"NO, THE GEN LIST IS AS IT WAS EARLIER..!!!"

So no problems..

Great to see that lots of action is happening in this thread

But there are few important issues which need some more clarity.

1. Exact joining date- This is imp becos lots of ppl must be planning to put their papers down

2. Education loan

Hope seniors will find some more time to give us the details.

Joining date would be around 25th July. YOu will get the exact details in the admission letter.

SBI, inside IIT Madras provides the cheapest loan. I remember , when joined IIT in 2006, they were offering it at 8.75% compared to market rate of 9.5%. I think now its being offered at around 10.25%(not sure). Its cheaper for IITians. Also, you have to pay your 1st sem now i.e. when you accept the offer but you can get it re-imbursed (as a part of loan from SBI)when you join IIT M.

Just one more query.

Bank would pay what percentage of the total fee? I mean is there any limit on the amount bank agrees to pay or it can even pay the full amount including the mess fee?

Ill get back to you on this as I think it pays the whole fees but still not sure.
