Yes, we all were away from PG today as we wanted the link to be activated today as sat and sunday are holidays in IIT. Hence, your frustration would have multiplied.

To all those Junta who persist in thanking us for the help at 'this late hour' -

If 11:30 in the night is late for you, then please revise your sleeping patterns! Even as I am typing out this post, a group is busy presenting a report to one of the Profs. We have had classes starting at 8 in the evening and extending till 1 in the night [and it was the faculty that got tired then... we guys were hungry for more... we could've continued all night long ]

so please, this hour is not at all late for an MBA... learn it!

First of all, hats off to all the seniors especially,

Sathya - for answering the queries today and earlier..

RMBT - for helping us out during the earlier day of results..

Quagmire - for letting the anxious souls cool down by the informative answers..

to all those who were there at the GD/PI centers helping out students..

and to all other seniors who must have worked at the back-end of all this information sharing..




Secondly, i request all you seniors to continue helping us by keeping an eye on all the important and trivial aspects of our admissions.. from depositing the fees, important dates, any other information/announcement by updating us all here on PG and/or in the community that we have created for our batch (Sathya sir is already a part of it.. )

surely yaar, its a good thing to have a group as well.. The only thing i wonder is that there will be too many forums where same repitition of information will be there.. PG, Orkut, and a GoogleGroup..

still i don't have a problem as long as the information is available at each of the places .. Seniors will have some pain (may be) to post the same info at so many no. of places.. so i think the final say should be theirs..

Here are the placement details for this year. Hindu article: The Hindu Business Line : Big offers for IIT Madras management grads and the article in ET as an image: http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/life-b...tml#post933089 (Life@DoMS,IIT Madras) . Besides this data which is now around 3 months old, we have had some updates:
1. One of the students got in Barclays London for Global Leadership Prog.

2. One of the students has got placed in Bank of America.

3. Wipro has increased the CTC of all the joinees by .25 -0.5 LPA wrt to the work ex of an indivdual.

You don't need to worry about the admission process. The letter that you will receive will mention in detail all documents and certificates you should have in place when you come here for registration and the last dates for the same e.g. if a fresher can't get his migration certificate, he can submit it by September end (if I remember correctly). Other than that there is nothing more to worry. Enjoy

Not to forget IBM, which has upgraded the profiles for 2 of my class mates. From Project management to Strategy and consulting.
