hi akshara! i have got thru gbo. i have a work experience in a fmcg co. for 2.5 yrs and would like to pursue career in marketing . can u give me some idea of companies which come in marketing , profiles offered and average package offered. another stupid question? do we need to buy a laptop for the program. and thanx for the effort shown by u and ur team.

1. My senior batch had no computer engineers, but there were 4 students B.Sc hons Computer... All have them hav got profiles in HR, Marketing & Finance with 2 fetching the highest package on campus. Depends on your knowledge of ur particular area of int.
2. The course is highly student driven. We have created extra-curricular activities for ourselves! GBO organised its first management fest this time"EnMasse" all student idea..n implemented by us. we had participation from IIm-L, XLRI, IIFT..etc. The collge mite not giv u things to do, but its upto u n ur batch to com out wit exceptional stuf.

For names of cos. n profiles it wud b better if u discuss wit me on a one to one basis ur specific case. if u r a delhiite n hav a Desktop at home than u can manage wit out a laptop. U may need laptop while submitting last minute assigments (if u r d late kinds) .. rest classroom lectures do not require laptop since some faculty would be using LCD projectors for teaching n later on providing notes to u.

welcum to PG.... congrats for ur 33rd rank( 3rd rank in waitlist)as u can see in the poll above ..two confirmed seats people are not gonna join and two more( including me) are waitin for other cals b4 taking a final decision..so u have almost converted dude...just wait for official communication...btw last year merit rank 65-70 got the final cal..
