True, Time management is a non issue here. After engineering and a fair bit of industry experience, time manangement is the last thing one is bothered about, if it has to be done, it has to be done. I just hope they send this assignment well in time. How much time did u guys get for your assignment?

We had a fair amt of time...I guess somewhere arnd 20 days for completion..Dnt exactly remember though...

I called up the insti office and they told they wont be sending any further communication and next step that I need to take is directly reach the insti on 2 Aug !!!

(i) When are these pre joining assignments coming?
(ii) Will they come physically or via email? (I've resigned and move in a week to my native place). The address in IIT's record is my official address, though I have already mailed the institute my new address.
(iii) My the Internet speed at my home town is a pathetic BSNL dial up, which rarely works. So if all the assignment could be uploaded on a specific place, such as Orkut community/ IITR website/ PG, it would be great.

Haha..I guess a weeks time shud b surely enuff to complete the same...As such, I m not the one whoz lookin after this matter...One of our profs and some students are wrkin upon this currently...U all will get the updates soon..!

These assignments wud come thru email...Though I m not the one whoz wrkin on it, I believe they wud b cumin shortly..Nevertheless, I shall try getting some info on this asap...Regarding net connectivity and any such other issues, we wud solve the problems as and whn they arise..Till then, have fun !

I am also joinin the league of the 2008-2010 batch.
Any idea about how many gals would be joining in our batch. n when is the formal announcement regarding classes gonna come?
Will they start off immediately after registration.Or there'll be some gap in b/w.
N why arent u people puuting up the placement report for this season.
Kill the curosity now...

Also, hw many hours of classroom sessions can we expect eday, and what is the usual schedule there- Mon to Sat or Mon-Friday...How does it go.

Commencement of classes - U wud b reqd to arrive for registration, and in a few days, the classes wud start off..Immediately after the registration, u all wud undergo an induction programme, after which, the classes wud begin..

Placement report - M waitin for Sam to upload the same, which m sure wud b done asap..

Schedule - Well, On several instances, u wud have classes on all 7 days of the week. U might get an off on some weekday, but weekends are usually packed..Normal lecture timings are 9 am to 6 pm, but may often vary..

I've heard tht at DoM IIT one gets ample of time to pursue their hobby and other interests... aren't they given a lot of work... as most of the top B schools keep dere students too busy to e1 have a nap...
