Hi all!
I have finally got the confirmation fer my admission @ DOMS , IIT Roorkee( my rank was GEN-96).
But, one thing which is very disturbing is that i have not been able to lay my hands on the Intimation letter as of now, coz it was dispatched to my mumbai address and i have shifted base and moved out of there. So i m in need of the format for the "Acceptance of Admission Letter", it must b a very simple one i m sure. So if any one out here having a scanned/xerox copy of the format, plz take some time out and mail that to me . I wud b highly obliged.
As u all knw that the last date for the submission of that letter is JUN 16, so please b prompt.
I feel very embarrassed asking this, but have no other option. my email id is arshadstats(at)gmail(dot)com

Well, your father or mother will have to act as a co-applicant for this loan. They will have to furnish all these documents. ultimate liability will be yours as you are supposed to settle the loan after you complete the course. Since, education loan is meant for students, these rules apply for all applicants irrespective of their work-ex status.

but i thing i'll add n dat is....d offer letter says that at d time of registration u need to bring d same letter dat is signed by d chairman, so try n get dat offer letter.

wid all due respect..none of seem to know d most important info for this thread...wat is the last rank upto which offer letter have been sent in the latest list (that has got last date of 16 jun 0 and also whether any new list is expected (if yes then when..)

hope ur summer training is going fine.
wanted to get some information on summer placements i.e when they start and by wat time all students r placed for their summers.
and about laptops majorly u ppl bought it urselves coz heard that u ppl never had a bulk deal for lappy's.so ppl must have bought it individually.

Well jus was checkin up, so tot I'll drop a reply... Think Media Cell wont mind this at all...
Hmm, Summers @ DoMS, IITR is "Roll-On" process till date which starts as early as September and stretches on till April of the academic year. The importance out is here is to match the interests of the student with the profile on hand. We've had instances where, we havent accepted the offer of some companies for the want of juicy profiles and projects.
Attempts however my friend, is to finish Summers at one go in say a month or week. We sure hope to work wid you junis and make this happen!!
And abt ur lappy question, no bulk deal worked out btw us... But u sure can tag along wid prospective classmates now or later and buy one.

@all,

If anyone has cancelled their seat in IIT-Roorkee, against other colleges, pls help.
I have submitted my cancellation request to IIT-Roorkee admissions department on 28th April. The Registrar told me, I will get the refund amount by 29th May, But till date I have nt received the amount. I called up Doms ADmission department, and the guy who picked up d phone told me that all cancellation requests will be serviced only after August.:confused:
A significant amount is now blocked. I will request all others who have cancelled their seats against other colleges to acknowledge about their status and if they are in the same boat. What is the response from the admissions department? Have I followed the right procedure? Do I need to personally go there?
Kindly pm me with details.
