I am not sure about the orkut community created by trushin, but there is a google group in place and here is the link for the same https://groups.google.com/group/doms-iitr-2010

No activity on orkut though!!

what is the updated total fee stuctute..?
any home work required that cud help us acclamatize quickly??

I will be joining IITR this year. Was wondering if you were thinking that I am a current student. To answer your questions (to best of my knowledge),
1. There will be some kind of pre joining assignment. But no updates on that.
2. session begins on July 30th
3. The offer letter just talks about the first installment which is of 48,320 for general and some 13800 for SC/ST category. There is no update on revised fee though!!
