would like to post some info for all guys here

I called up IITB admissions office , and they said that there was a meeting next week
(regarding return of Fees wud be discussed in it ) probably Tuesday

So all guys probably can wait till this and then we can decide what to do next

Probably we can collect all people in the same situation here and then probably

I had few questions in this regard:

If I remember correctly then there was no column for OBC in the SJMSOM form.. even they had to fill their category as General then on what basis will the OBC candidates contacted for submitting caste and creamy-layer proof ?
Also what about any OBC candidates have been selected already in Gen ? then they must ideally b moved to OBC reserved seats isnt it ?

Pl correct me if I am wrong !!!

JMET form had a coloumn for OBC category i guess...
on second point i agree with u ideally they should have been moved OBC list... but again depends who all submit their proof... as they had already been selected in gen category...

all speculations...

lets wait for some replies from seniors or admission committe people

The SJMSOM app form did have a column for OBC candidates so that wouldn't be an issue. All the candidates who would have chosen OBC in that form would have receieved some communication as per me.

As far as the people in the main list are concerned, they can claim their seats as general candidates as it is not forced upon the reservd category students(SC, ST or OBC) to declare themselves as reserved category. According to the court(AFAIR) if they r meritorious enough to be in the main list, they can be considered gen cat students. So this time around they will have this double benefit! But waitlist candidates will be segregated as general and others

Seniors please correct if i am wrong. BTW, as the OBCs have been given till 20th to respond, can we expect the waitlist till 23rd.. ie next friday? it could save us the hassel of arranging for money for other institues.

I have initiated the process for withdrawing admission ..So one more seat for waitlisted candidates ..All the bset


I tried calling them ,but no one picks up the phone .Any idea is there any other thing that needs to be done other than sending an application for admission withdrawl to Deputy Director and a scanned copy of the same to admissions id ..Please do let me know ..
