umm..just a thought..thers already an existing community on orkut at :

so i was just wondering that we can pool in together at one of these communities and scrap the other one so that all the junta is at the same place sharing views. Junnonmba tu bata kaun si rakhni hai?

Hi seniors..

i had a few queries..

1. is there any bulk discount offer for laptops at IIT B.
eg: heard SIBM pitches for bulk deal of laptops for students & last year ppl got heavy discounts upto 20k for each. jus enquired if we have something similar @ IIT B

2. do we have courses like SAP, Six sigma etc. at IITB for value addition?

3. Can somebody post the link for the Life@IITB thread

Congratulations to all those selected (JBRD anyone ) and ATB to the waitlisters .

1. Yes, the bulk discount is there. Once you land up here, one of you will naturally take the initiative of striking a bulk deal. Or else, close to the joining date, you can initiate the deal by communicating among yourselves on orkut/PG.

2. SAP, Six Sigma: NO. These courses aren't there. These are very IT specific and hence not available. For some diverse taste, one can take the electives in the second year (first year is all core courses) across the departments of IITB. The courses of these departments especially: IEOR (Industrial Engg. & Operations Research) deptt. , HSS (Humanities & Social Sciences) deptt. and KReSIT (Kanwal Rekhi School of Information Technology) are quite famous among SOM guys.

The top 15-20 students in class are awarded scholarships are awarded scholarship ranging from 18k,15k,9k and 6k based on SPI at the end of every semester.
