I checked it with department....
HOD advised me to come after resigning since it may cause some problems at the time of placements...
He asked me to call Raghunandan Sen Gupta, the placement co ordinator for more details
But he was not at the office

so that clears the doubt i guess

Hi batchmates..

I think we should now start deciding on our laptops.. I have communicated in IITR thread... I think IITK, IITR & IITD guys should come together and negotiate bulk deals for laptops from delhi itself..

This way we can negotiate good bulk deals for even different varieties of configuration as a lot of people will be involved..

As for my requirement I need a 1.6 or 1.8 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 1 GB DD RAM, DVD writer, 80 or 160 GB harddisk... other things are adjustable..

seniors pls suggest.. what is the ideal configuration?
And pls suggest models to purchase..me really ignorant (Non IT backgrnd)
Also pls guide as to what all electronic accessories might be usefull..

I think if we can decide on this aspect.. most of us can plan our journey via delhi before reaching kanpur.. buy laptops & other requirements from delhi and then reach kanpur fully loaded



btw way guys.. when are you ppl planning to reach kanpur.. Pls post in your schedules..
