hey seniors needed some help,been selected from the waitlist on 16th april(informed through email),got my dd prepared on 17th and when i was about to send the dd called up the admissions office and was told by the lady who picked up the call to wait till i get the hard copy which the college has send me through speed post,bcoz there are some forms along with the hard copy which i need to fill and send back.I have still not got my hard copy of the offer letter.and the email states that my payment should reach before 22nd.What should i do?if i wait for the letter then my fees wont reach in time.
I called up today an alredy irritated lady picked up and said the concerned person is not here call on monday.there is no one to answer my query.for heavens sake my career depends on this.plz help me seniors talk if possible in the admissions office.plz

hii...i too got the mail...have got the letter by post last day itself ie on 19th april...they have send it in speed post... there are indeed a lot of forms to be filled up...dont worry...i have called them...asked ur prob...they said that if the forms and amount reaches there on 22nd..its not a prob(against the date as mentioned like before 22nd)...and if u have valid reasons to send it on 23rd...then also they will accept that...coz back at kolkata...on 21st its a band(as usual)....so if my amount and forms reaches there on 23rd then it wont be a prob...hope i cud help u...neway...all the best!
and make it a point to call them on monday also...take care.

I'd been to the campus for my interview...
Though I didn't explore a lot, i can tell u this much:

The LIBA campus is a part of the huge Loyola College campus. It's a good 10 min walk from the Loyola College bldg and on the way you come across a beautiful church. LIBA is basically composed of 2 bldgs, I went to one of them for my interview. The classroom we were seated in was air-conditioned(a necessity in hot n humid Chennai). I'm assuming all classrooms are too. There is a small cafe closeby where I had tomato-rice and papad for lunch.

@ Seniors, pls rectify mistakes if any. Your input is most welcome.

In order that u get a clear idea of ur batchmates' profiles, as requested by a fellow PG, I've created a poll reg. work-ex of people joining LIBA.
Even people who got selected and not taking can vote, so that we can get a clear picture of the LIBA selects.

Hey Dheepak although it is none of my business to interfere here but I would like to say that in your poll the place for people more than 36 months of work ex- not to use the words "UNCLES and AUNTS" that would be little bit derisive...as probably I don't know at this time but there might be some who will have that kind of work ex- and it already puts them on the defensive.....I may be a bit harsh but leaving the fun part of it ...it might hurt people as well....please take care of that... I hope u understand.

BTW anyone who enjoys good-sense humor will have a smile. Isnt doing MBA gonna teach people how to take things in the lighter sense!!!

Thats cool I know that MBA is all about taking everything in ur stride but after my experiences with people I know that upfront they may smile but it hits something...I don't know...but leave this thing here I understand the point is well taken and as Atila has already said that there are no feathers ruffled at least from my side....and from my batch that I can say....its good that the poll has been initiated at the right moment we also need to know the batch composition at the earliest to have a preliminary idea.

I need to talk to Admissions deptt. but no one is picking call.I have tried on all 044-28175353/54/55/56/57 numbers. Can any one provide me direct admission-cell number or xtension no. It is urgent....
