I have already paid the fees for xl, and had sent the original payin slip along with the declaration through india speed post on may 16.... BUT, the thing is yet to reach jamshedpur.. callin themselves speed post.....

Tho i have faxed copies of the same subsequently and xl ve confirmed it as well, i wanna wait for another 3-4 days to see whether the courier reaches xl, before i intimate ximb. Sorry abt this to the folks, who r kept waiting. I know what it is to be in a waitlist ....

the last date for withdrawal is jun 18. correct??
antoter thing i wanna ask is abt the laptop bulk deal. can people who will not be joinin ximb be part of it? has any config been specified so far??

Its ok dude... u're not the only one who's not widrawn , but atleast u were candid enuf to post it here... I've more or less given up hope on the entire WL scenario... lets c wot happens...:black:

I received a mail from the student cell of XIMB abt negotiating a bulk deal
due to popular demand from students... Guess, seniors should be approached for the exact status of the bulk deal....

Just called up the admissions office... they said dat d widrawal count is still 9.. and that there should be 6 more widrawals for the WL to start moving.

There were already 9 withdrawls and if we include Swagat's withdrawl, its 10 for sure.And also the buffer was supposedly 17, so 8 more required for the WL to move...how come 6 now ?

I also got a similar mail from XSYS students group at XIMB regarding the bulk deal. Has anyone got any idea of the discount we usually get in bulk deal? For example, a 10k+ discount on a laptop of 50k should be the deal ideally. I don't know what figures XSYS ppl have in mind. A good laptop model having the below configuration should cost around 45-55K
1. Good processor with a large cache and good speed e.g. Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 MB Cache, Speed 1.83+ GHZ
2. Good RAM (2 GB+)
3. Large HDD space (160 GB+)
4. good graphics card(nVIDIA GE Force 8400)) with dedicated memory 128+ MB
5. Give and take a few accessories and e.g. web cam etc.

That should make the laptop cost around 35-45K in the bulk deal. Let's see how much XSYS bros can bargain.
